How long is it before his ego has him instructing the Pentagon and the State Dept to not supply those countries who've seen they need to up their own defence weapons production after he cut off the supply chain to Ukraine, which were drawn down from US stocks in US forward [NATO] supply bases in Europe? No prizes for guessing where those stocks were produced.

The content of this attached link covers how and where the US supplies came from for Ukraine along with a virtual "thank you" address to Congress on March 16, 2022. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=0250972cfa788fdb1ddf6b70153d48c3dc55425a361cbcc4145f775f4fd4f221JmltdHM9MTc0MTMwNTYwMA&ptn=3&ver=2&hsh=4&fclid=04f55f2f-e40c-6108-1379-4b9fe541609e&psq=How+did+Ukraine+get+its+US+arms+supplies+into+its+country&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly90aGVjb252ZXJzYXRpb24uY29tL2hvdy13ZWFwb25zLWdldC10by11a3JhaW5lLWFuZC13aGF0cy1uZWVkZWQtdG8tcHJvdGVjdC12dWxuZXJhYmxlLXN1cHBseS1jaGFpbnMtMTc5Mjg1&ntb=1

He's being serious about the Canadian border apparently and said it to Trudeau in Feb during a call (from the NYT)

Totally agree, but I don't see the same cultural dominance of US content in the Irish sphere as there was in the 80s and 90s.

The internet has really opened avenues.

Apparently, Trudeau described that call as "colourful" and seemed very flustered after the event.

I did assume that Trump and Putin were having some frank backchannel conversations alright. I know the Russians have been praising him openly but perhaps the global response to the Oval office embarrassment with Zelensky triggered a push for more concessions from Putin. Putin also has a lot of rare earth minerals in his occupied areas. Interesting stuff.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

It's over to Scott Bessent now, unless his boss finds a reason to do a U-turn on these sanction threats. I'm not sure if there is a lot more that he can do from the extra sanctions that Biden brought in last June against Russia and it's banking allies… https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=7ed86e24f197497dfb8759b5e48a178c17b22bc35be652f4d6755740469e3d20JmltdHM9MTc0MTMwNTYwMA&ptn=3&ver=2&hsh=4&fclid=04f55f2f-e40c-6108-1379-4b9fe541609e&psq=What+banking+sanctions+has+the+US+placed+on+Russia&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuYmJjLmNvbS9uZXdzL2FydGljbGVzL2NrdnYxd3lka3dxbw&ntb=1

On the separate issue of DEI, it's good to see that Trump took Bessent's strengths into consideration when nominating him as Sec Treasury.

Same as yours I'd imagine judging by your posts, the difference is i don't use disgusting references to those less fortunate to make my point and neither should you.

And just like that, Trump is moving onto Iran. Tariffs will be glossed over soon enough

Anybody any idea as to what Trump meant - yesterday- when he referred about bringing Ukr and Ru to the table when he said that Ukr have no option ie have no ‘cards’left and the same with Russia BUT FOR TOTALLY DIFFERENT REASONS AND I AM NOT TELLING YOU WHAT THEY ARE??????????

I guess that whatever story Putin has spun to Trump and Trump analysing same and has reached the conclusion as to why Putin has no option but to come to the table I’d say that it is a lot of ‘smoke and mirrors ‘ equivalent. They both have their ‘own definition of what is true and what is a LIE!!!!!!!

See Trump has announced that white South African farmers who are being persecuted are welcome in America and will be fast tracked for citizenship. Nice to see Trump is welcoming oppressed minorities. Nothing to do with Elons recent business problems with the SA government.

Second death reported in New Mexico from measles outbreak.

Before RFK became health secretary the last death from measles in US was 2015 and the last one before that 2003…

He meant that he is a raving loon who is stuck up his own arse who goes weak at the knees whenever a genocidal dictator bats their eyelashes at him.

As I said, take it up with Albert Watkins. It's his term.

If I needed a facilitator/mediator and there are 1 million registered mediators / peace achieving facilitators in the world the last one I would pick is The Donald . The minimum one would expect From ALL of them is that they would adapt a neutral position, not take sides and remain objective at all times.
They are Donald , today, ruled himself out yet again as a peace mediator when he said that he reckoned that it would be much easier to make peace with Putin and not at all with VZ. This on top of telling the public that Ukr can forget about getting back any land , NATO is not even on the agenda, etc, etc, etc, etc.

You suggested this yesterday. Just admit that you shouldn't have used it and stop deflecting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,874 ✭✭✭✭aloyisious

Trump is continuing to attempt to confuse the world. He says he finds it easier to talk to Russia than to Ukraine on the same day that he is threatening to increase the sanctions already applied to Russia for pounding Ukraine.

This is just a week since his famous talk to Ukraine in Washington. I wonder if he would invite Putin onto his home turf for a talk to such an ungrateful person as he's trying to end the war and killings between both countries.

Deflecting nothing. Take it up with Watkins. Because I don't care.

In a thread about the worst US administration that we've all witnessed in nigh on 40 years, which is a serious danger to stability of the entire US, Europe and other regions of the world, you're choosing to get upset at a term you don't like.

    fkn 'ell.

    🙄

You said yesterday to "move on", yet here you still are unable to do so.

who’d have guessed it’s easier to deal with the party you aren’t asking to make any concessions with.

I have genuinely never seen such a chaotic shambles of a government (if one can call it that) in all of my life. Day after day there's some new piece of absolute gibberish that's put forth by them leading one to think that it's either A. truly scatterbrained and without any kind of rudder, or B. All an elaborate smokescreen for something far more sinister.

    Neither option is very comforting.

I'm not a fan of the old adage that "people get the government they deserve", but the fact that a bunch of the most ill-suited gang of twats like that ever managed to get into the White House really is a sad reflection of the American people. The damage they're going to do to themselves and others has the potential to be absolutely enormous.

The "tariff stay" kindness to Canada didn't last long, he's going to impose a new one on Canadian lumber and dairy today.

This is an interesting thread of videos from U.S. Senator from Connecticut Chris Murphy
who is cataloguing Trump’s corruption since the start of his presidency and made a Senate floor speech laying out the stunning graft from just the first 6 weeks

Susie Wiles one condition on taking the role of chief of staff.

“The clown car can’t come into the White House at will,”

    That was ignored.

Trump has essentially rendered Ukrainians helpless by denying them military support and intelligence and then claims he wants peace. He's a despicable human being. Peace Prize my arse, hopefully he ends up in the Hague for sending all those honourable Ukrainians to their death, when he could have helped them.

Did anybody notice he didn't refer to the Russian leader or the Russian President...he called him Vladimir, like a buddy.

At the moment the White House is the clown car.
