    Thanks for that reply.

My point was specifically about implying Musk had no skills which is ludicrous.

Even if wealthy, identifying and buying businesses, growing by hiring the right people, selling at the right time, is a skill.

I had no interest in the MAGA or alternative political party part of the discussion.

    Im not misrepresenting Democrats.

They clearly lied about Bidens condition and tried to conceal it from the public for years.

They continually labelled riots, arson, looting, and violence as "Peaceful Protests".

They even encouraged people to donate money to bail out these rioters so they could reoffend and kill.

The Democrats are the ones doing the misrepresentation not me.

So do you think Republicans are lying when they say Trump isn't bat shít crazy?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,122 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

Nope. Just more misrepresentation of Democrats and an attempt to divert focus away from what Trump is doing right now and the character of the President.

Trump is president now. Not Biden. A convicted felon, a proven liar who tried to steal an election with threats and violence.

And once again zero attempt at holding Trump to account for his lies. The same Trump who said sending in the National Guard without Governor approval would be an abuse of power.

Positive proof this is just a pretext for a partisan attack on Democrats, nothing more. Nothing to do with any real concern for law, order or respect for the courts.

There is fake news about bail which has been discredited multiple times already on the thread. Donations were made to a general fund which pays bail and has been in operation before the BLM protests.

    https://www.newsweek.com/fact-check-did-kamala-harris-back-bail-fund-murderers-rapists-1754314

There were many peaceful protesters caught up in the arrests who were subsequently found innocent or when it came to court the charges were dropped. If you oppose their bail, you advocate for them to be punished with detention merely because they could not afford bail.

It is clear that is who Democrats were referring to and eg Kamala Harris condemned any violence.

So which person involved in the protests on bail for murder (kill again) specifically had Democrats trying to raise bail for them? It is your claim and it sounds like a MAGA fabrication.

Also bail is a fundamental part of the law and order system and guilty until proven innocent. So again your posts advocate not for law and order.

The Pentagon said the deployment of National Guard members and Marines to protests over immigration raids in LA will cost $134 million.

Sure he spends that over a few days playing golf in Mar a Lago doesn't he?

In this instance, it's Trump that California and LA authorities have to deal with and, where necessary, to confront legally. That's no small matter. His mouth has put him where he is, bringing about the present hiccup in federal/state cooperation. Odds on the locals at both federal and state agency level are probably still keeping the local wheels turning, only at a quieter level, knowing there are non-locals temporarily present in the offices.

You know that when an MP walks into an office, there's a sudden hush and a runner heading off to the CO with the bad news.

In passing, I see occasional short videos of US Cav Armour and ancillary mechanical vehicles on lengthy train movements. Embarking & disembarking the vehicles off the carriages is probably an art-form in itself.

We are reading your posts as they are, and it is very clear 1984 is not on your read list.

As for you trying to say it was the Dems, well, there is a quote for that for you as well “We do not merely destroy our enemies; we change them.”

Again, this started when ICE raided a Home Depot and took people. This is not what Trump said he would do so don't try and play that card.

Trump supporters such as yourself, already have their minds made up. You throw in an Orwell quote and it is a comical own goal. Keep us entertained, but don't take us for fools.

I'm not pointing a finger at anyone debating here in noting that Trump, after the fact, kept referring to the mob that attacked the Capitol building on the day the vote count was to be entered unto the House record as a "peaceful protest". His latest mention of riot is where he imagines LA is on fire with rioters roaming the streets attacking the Nat Gd and looting stores. Trump cannot recognize fact from fiction.

Watching sky news and Trump saying Los Angeles would have burnt down as per the fires earlier this year if he hadn’t sent in the army - Could media outlets please put a map of LA on their screens and pinpoint the sites where violence has occurred. Showing the same burning vehicle over and over and over again does not signal the presence of multiple burning vehicles.
For us across the Atlantic it is sad and sickening but for people in the US it could be a trigger for more unrest.

You were accused of misrepresentation when it comes to the actions of Trump.

    Your response talked about Biden.

If you actually addressed points made to you, maybe your responses would be taken more seriously.

we should ignore things like this too. Sounds like all that adderall has done a number on poor Donnie.

For all the abuse Biden got for being old, I can see Trump aging in a far worse manner.

Plus the very visible sign on one of his hands of an intravenous drip.

Completely unnecessary. There was two hundred odd protesters at the start, easily monitored by the cops. Might well be over by now if he hadn't been so eager to demonstrate his power.

Any news on his ear yet, isn't there a medical report or something due.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,122 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

Trump wont release his medical records and what are released are obvious fabrications by one of his stooges.

Something those who default to but but Biden are noticeably disinterested in examining further…

California has filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order to block Trump’s illegal deployment of Marines and National Guard in LA.

The Felon also lied about having a call with Newson yesterday.

It will just be said that he has the best ear, the strongest ear of any president.

Just like he is 6'4 and 235lbs…if that is true, then I am Michael Jordan.

Trump calling for the arrest of the Governor without any charges or reason, when he's a 34 times convicted felon is peak irony

And we are being told it is done for law and order?

    Its peak fascism.

Not as ironic as a man who would fail a vettting test being voted in by people who won't shut up about unvetted men being all over the place.

Saw this quote earlier, it couldn't be more apt.

"Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and gave him triumphal processions and laughed delightedly at his licentiousness and thought it very superior of him to acquire vast amounts of gold illicitly."

Piss Bags Donnie. I bet he hates Newsom because he doesn’t have to wear a piss bag. I wonder if his piss bag burst when he fell over on those stairs last week. Legs covered in piss angrily shouting down the phone to send the army to Los Angeles.

That would be ironic if there was some kind of common standard of behaviour that all U.S. politicians adhered to, but that has gone out the window. There is no limit of political depravity Trump could stoop to that would cause his followers to stop defending him or even turn on him. Well…. other than coming out as a Democrat, maybe.

The standard for Trump is what's good for him. What aggrandises him and consolidates his power. That's all.

When he accuses his opponents of things he's doing, and doing worse than what he's accusing them of, he knows they'll be outraged and be almost paralysed by it. They'll jump up and down…. they'll vent and then he'll do it again tomorrow. It's really been an intrinsic part of his political survival strategy and I don't think we cannot say that it's not working. He's still there nearly a decade later after waddling onto the world stage.

Protests are breaking out in other US cities apparently over ICE heavy handed approach.

Probably would have petered out but for Trump. Can see nationwide unrest. Once it starts it'll be hard to stop.
