This does my head in. They're continuously opening and closing the tills. They won't leave a staff member sitting at an empty till for 2 seconds.

Putting on a jacket that you haven't worn in ages to find an out of date document you were searching for months ago.

same in our local Londis. Till staff all off helping restocking shelves and you’ll only have one returning to the tills if the place gets noticeably busy to them. Of course they don’t always notice how busy the till area is when they are busy doing that work.

I haven yet to feed my cat with the Centra branded sachets of cat food without getting some of the smelly food on me

I enquired online with a car dealer and they telephoned me within minutes answering my questions. This is a big well established dealer, not a small outfit. I was very impressed. 4 times I said I’ll arrive on Saturday and I paid 49 euro online to reserve the car.

Up bright and early and get 1 train and then have a break before my next train. I was traveling over 150km. Half way through my journey I get a call saying the car was double reserved and they cannot sell to me. Not happy about this but admin mess-ups can happen. Then I get a follow-up one sentence email with zero apology stating the same. Would it kill them to say sorry? I wasted money on a train ticket

I’d have let it go except for the zero apology. 1 star google review with names coming up.

Every post on Facebook, political, sporting, social is met with a group of idiots responding with a laughing emoji. 'Irish Ladies Rugby Team Beat Spain' post, 15 laughing emoji. I'd ban that option😂

'Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio? A nation turns It's lonely eyes to you.'

someone attempted to friend me on FB last night. Surprising request, but it didn’t quite look like a scam as I’ve seen this individual active in a music FB group I’m part of. But I do a quick search for their name and see that they’ve two other FB accounts that are both active and being used daily.

So either it’s some degree of a scam or they are a complete skitzo weirdo….either way, block and bye.

Cooking dinner then rummaging in the fridge and finding an out of date reduced to clear item that you had bought for dinner.

No panic it will get eaten anyway ;-)

I picked up Tesco potato salad instead of Tesco's finest. It's awful.

Speaking of Tesco, their own-brand bags of ground coffee and unground coffee beans are virtually indistinguishable. It is to easy to buy the wrong one.

One of my TA's is Lidl's jars of Cornichons vs Gherkins they look very similar, loads of people pick them up and put them back in the wrong place so mr stupid here ends up buying Gerkins instead of Cornichons.

was talking up on here about maybe a year ago a bargain of a LED bedside light which I got for something like 12/14 euros… super value im thinking…

Not… All of a sudden it’s developed a fault as in if you hit off it or it’s cable with your arm or more usually the duvet cover, it flickers, hisses and crackles, sometimes even staying off until you adjust it again. Annoying thing is the trouble of getting a replacement and I’d like to get something that takes the same type of LED bulb as I bought a box of 8 thinking I was sorted. 6 are still left. Total piece of 💩…

The last time I looked at their ingredients, they were identical, even in the same proportions. So, why the price difference?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,823 ✭✭✭The Continental Op

Thats why I used to buy one over the other the Gerkins were cheaper but found the Cornichons taste better. Note Aldi Gerkins taste rank in comparison.

There's someone parked at the end of my drive?

Not a TA most people would have but we are nearly 400m from the next nearest house and there is nothing around us of any interest? So whats the car doing there ;-)

Get the number plate and report to gardai, it may be something simple but it could also be suspicious -hearing more often about cars stolen and used for burglaries then dumped

Photographed it as soon as I saw it :-) Think it might be a weird dog walker. Very occasionally someone parks a car there and walks a dog up the hill on a lead. Why I don't know as you can park by the beach 300m away and walk a dog there?
