Two things that annoy me about commercial radio - Ads and the extremely repetitive playlists.

What was the jaysis point of dragging us all back to the office five days a week for everyone to just keep doing everything via Teams anyway??? The person who sits beside me is currently on a Teams call with someone in an office one floor below us.

People, sorry imbeciles, that use post boxes as rubbish bins.

Was in the process of emptying one earlier and someone was trying to squeeze an empty takeaway coffee cup into the gap for letters, and when it didn't fit tried to leave it resting on the ground next to the box, right in front of me. I told them this isn't a fecking bin, that its down the street there, and they looked at me as if I was in the wrong.

Its a small miracle I have yet to discover used syringes disposed in one of them.

It’s so the members of management, who don’t do any actual work, can report on their underlings to those in the upper levels.

Apparently, productivity just isn’t as important as water cooler “chats” and “networking”. You can be sure if anyone starts talking around the water coolers, it’ll be those same managers telling them to ‘get back to work’.

    Australian Pringles? 🤪

I made some nice soup yesterday but it's currently in a pot in the kitchen, and not in a bowl in front of me. And I don't want to move… 😒

thank fûck, even though it’s only boards I thought my tablet might have had an issue, but it’s obviously just related to this actual site…last few days it’s been in particular mental….

my TA… these jokeshop traffic calming islands things they’ve built at the side of residential roadways with arrow signs on them, safety theatre BS. Whilst they might momentarily slow a vehicle, they are also forcing larger vehicles on narrower roads ie. bigger SUVs, van’s, trucks and buses to momentarily partially need to cross over the white line into the opposite lane of oncoming traffic to avoid them…opposite of safe, if the hi-vis arrow is nicked they’ll be hard to see in poor light and a LOT of damage will be done to a vehicle...🤦🏻

The bus driver yesterday evening had Q102 blaring from every speaker on the bus. It was inescapable, even with my AirPods in. King of Leon followed by Rick Astley, absolutely no effort or imagination whatsoever put into their playlist in 20 years. It put me in a foul mood until I got home.

Ok the event is not a TA - helicopter crash into plane NY. But how insensitive journalism is.

What annoyed me watching BBC, American journalist interviewing husband of a woman who likely has died on plane.

The journalist asked live to see the last text message he received from her. I couldn’t believe it. Completely insensitive I thought.

The annoying selfie poses you see on Instagram with mouth agape, fake surprise expression showing off their gleaming Turkey teeth - the default pose of Brian Dowling, Vogue, Doireann Garrihy and all the other Irish Z listers….

I've said it before, but it will never cease to amaze me how two people - or sometimes even an individual - can manage to take up an entire city footpath.

Also, gold jewellery on men. In fact, jewellery on men in general, other than a wedding ring and a watch, and even that depends very much on the watch…

The price of motor fuel seems to have sneaked up significantly since I last got some (which tbh was probably around Christmas)

That sounds like my living nightmare. Where I work I'm about 60% office, 40% factory floor. The lads on the floor have the Canadian equivalent of 102 on all day, blaring to compete with the noise of the machines. Same as. Except sprinkle the odd RHCP and Foreigner song. Mad cringe but at least I can usually walk away, back to the office.

Shopping trolleys being taken through the self checkout!

In Dunnes today and my branch has 4 self checkouts at corners of a square. The odd trolley with a small amount fine who cares but when there is a queue at the self service checkouts and 3 people doing more than a baskets worth in a shopping trolley I think someone is taking the piss?

Wake me up when it's all over.

On the self service topic I used to go to it in Dunnes with a few things and a 4pack of Kilkenny beer . Because they were sold individually they'd only scan for 1 can . I got away with that little scam for a long time 😁

getting a social media notification from one of my local pubs their longest serving barman..30+ years has died. Genial guy who was a local ‘character’ which is a descriptor of him im using in the most positive sense. Had old school nouse making all welcome from before you even sat down, gifted with humour & turn of phrase with his own rhyming slang…efficient, friendly, kind yet unobtrusive if you were in company. There before Christmas & he was working away looking fit and well… which was a compliment actually passed about him at our table…. Probably not truly trivial but hey…

That’s the job 😅 The price of Kilkenny beer in my local Dunnes has gone completely stupid. Something like €3.30 for a can of it now. It’s practically just Smithwicks with added nitrogen instead of CO2.
