Sainz needs surgery. Fingers crossed it will be a smooth operation. 😎

Has Bearman driven an F1 car before? Either way 10th is a pretty good start!

  • Registered Users Posts: 217 ✭✭gryfothegreat

He did two FP1s and the post-season test for Haas last year and has done some private testing with the FDA at Fiorano.

Bearman has acquitted himself well so far. I'm still surprised a top team like Ferrari don't keep someone more experienced on reserve though, someone like a Vandoorne or a Giovanizzi. I guess what we've often seen in the past is when a team get a little bit more notice they're able to make some calls and skip over the reserve to bring someone in, where this time they've obviously needed somebody at the track immediately.

That shoulder camera shot is amazing. Really shows the true speed of the cars!

    Haas pace is decent

    Some save from Piastri there!

Only 3 tenths behind Leclerc so far, impressive! His poor dad stressed to feck in the garage. 😁

Track is getting faster and faster.

How do alpine keep producing crap cars

I was never a huge fan of this track, but it is probably the best track to show just how monstrously fast these cars are.

Great, an advert for men who can't get boners.

The liveries are looking pretty good under the lights.

Those camera angles of the cars exiting the last turn onto the pit straight are incredible, everyone within a whisker of the wall everytime, incredible stuff.

Bearman comes across very well in the interviews there, fair play to him he did a great job. A good sign that he was disappointed not to make it into Q3. Would be brilliant if he can score some points tomorrow.

Piastri and Norris have been fairly equal so far, looks like Piastri has stepped up. Thought Ricciardo would be comfortable enough against Tsunoda but Yuki seems to be well able for the competition so far

Just seen Qualifying. In Q3 final run Mercedes new tyres after split one to Max.

    😋

Poor Toto and George and the number 2 driver.

I do get upset what the target demographic for f1 seems to be. Boner pills. Business stuff. Incontinence wear. Rich old people I guess.

I'm reminded of Bernie's comment about 10 years ago that he wasn't interested in appealing to young people because they don't buy Rolexes.

Didn’t see the qualifying live yesterday. I watched it at about 8pm last night. Oliver bearman looked really good.

They do though. Gio is the other reserve driver. Guess he has other commitments this week.

ill be surprised if bearman can keep it together for the full race.
