On the topic of an RTÉ-organised Eurovision, tonight marks 27 years since we last hosted the contest, on 3 May 1997. At the time we thought we'd never get rid of it…

Just noticed that Ireland is using a 4:3 crop for their Eurovision performance and not widescreen or 'letterbox' (the clip below seems to be how it will actually appear on the night). We appear to be the only country this year out of the 37 going for this format….very interesting and artistic.

Depends how bad. Most cases yeah they usually resolve at home within few days but if it was so bad needed IV fluids could be more severe than that.

I'd imagine that was purely precautionary i.e. they knew Bambie was unwell and headed straight to A & E, not prepared to take any chances with the semi coming so soon.

The Red Carpet event is tomorrow, so we should have a better idea of Bambie's health by then.
