Anyone have any info/idea when next year's road races are usually announced

event submission closes in mid Nov normally. so 2-3weeks after that would think. off the committee now so don't have the dates

I think club secretary would have got notification

It definitely appeared on the CI website and social media outlets

I wouldnt mind trying a road race but when I see these peletons so close together I cant help thinking the risk of a crash is really high. Is it?

Always risk involved. If unsure tey some local league racing and some fast paced club rides with experienced club riders who can ride close safely to guide you.

Join a club like Blanch Wheelies or Clondalkin and join their club league is the best advice IMO

It woudl be odd if they did, it is a good course, easy to marshall and everyone knows it. Nice leg opener for the season anyway.

Thanks lads, looking forward to the season opening now with a lot of hard work in the bag.

The calendar in March is top heavy with some races I love to attend will be missed unfortunately unless I can find a car buddy.

Ages 46-49 can choose grade - I have A1,2, 3 as options but I will be required to ride any upgrades I get during the year.

I’ll be watching to see how the fields are across March with quite a few clashes in Munster & Leinster there will be some small A1/2 races I think.
