    Big six from Adair

7 required off the last, cool heads lads, don’t fûck it up !

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,856 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Victory secured 😅. When I saw Adair get out I just thought fkkkk, here we go again.

an element of luck with the winning boundary coming courtesy of an edge but we’ll take it.

1-1 and whatever happens we have a victory on this tour to our name..

Weather set fair for the decider in Harare tomorrow. Looking forward to it. Be great if we could win a series on foreign soil.

Good win, very professional chase. We need to see more of this standard

    140/6 the Zim total

    Fantastic knock so from dockrell

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Dockrell and Tector turn a 37/4 situation to bat out the rest and get Ireland to 141/4 and a win.

Away series wins never something to be sniffed at.

Great win yesterday. Zimbabwe were missing key players no doubt but that's not Ireland's problem and it is great to get an away series win.

It has been a difficult year for the team, so at least some relief from that.

    ODI series starts on Wednesday.

Think that will be an immense boost to Irish cricket. Getting away out of the country and winning a series against a team notable for years in that format.

they beat even Pakistan last year…also beat Australia in an ODI so while not consistent against the big hitters they are capable.

Forecast for Harare is pretty bleak, was going to say I was looking forward to the ODIs but the next week has a pretty dull and not promising forecast… a lot of thunderstorms forecasted…

Ireland win the toss and will bowl in opening ODI

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Little gone for 25 in his first two overs

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

81/5 now. Wickets in consecutive balls. Little got Raza out earlier

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

121/6 at half way mark but they are just gone off due to weather

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Match abandoned. Pity, as we were in a good spot

Anyone know when tickets for next year's fixtures would be going on sale?

Zimbabwe win the toss and will bat in the second ODI

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

3 wickets in the 4th over for Josh Little! Zim 16/3

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

And now little gets Raza!. 19/4 for Zim

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭MFPM

54/4 now, Zim have steadied the ship a bit but now in the 15th over so they need to shoot the lights out to get a decent score.

    Zim 84/6 after 26 overs

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Could do with a wicket. Handy 60 run partnership here for Zim

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Tector does it! Burl out and Zim 133/7 after 36

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Zim 166 all out and josh little finishes with 6/36

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,727 ✭✭✭kksaints

    Balbirnie gone first ball.

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Campher and tector steadying things after Stirling and balbirnie went early. 74/2 in 19th over

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Rain has stopped things with Ireland on 101/3 after 25 overs. Ireland 27 runs ahead on DLS

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,856 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Shame. A great recovery from losing Balbernie first ball, quickly going on to being 29/2.. recovering to 101/3.

    63 runs required… 7 wickets remaining and…. RAIN !

Edit : actually covers coming off.

also Ireland are well ahead by DLS.

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,507 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Back on. Campher got out for 66. Ireland just 42

Ireland losing wickets, 132/5 now… the RRR is 1.96, so come on, cool heads, composure, no need for risk or being overly adventurous…. Don’t fück this up Ireland !
