Its not on RTE. Rather Virgin Media 2.

A couple of changes is a enough in rugby. The team needs to change how they play a little bit and hopefully they do.

Its not about learning its about winning games, we'll learn about others when others earn their spot in the team. That's the challenge for Casey, McCarthy, Crowley off the bench tonight.

That could lead to massive problems if and when injuries deprive the team of the first choice players. That happened in 2019 and 2015

Whatever will happen will happen, giving someone a cap or two isnt going to magically resolve that problem.

It didnt happen in 2019, Dan Leavy was the only player injured for the QF.

2015 nothing could have prepared us for, doubt any team could cope losing the entire spine of their team in one fell swoop.

And how many were injured and unavailable v Japan? A loss that meant we played all blacks. Starting with Jack Carty v Japan who only had 2 starts against poor teams is what messed us up.

Crowley starting with Ross Byrne as back up is not something anyone would've expected three weeks ago. Essentially 4th and 5th choice on the depth chart from back then.

No better game for it to happen. Carbery will be a bit sick, but thems the breaks. We'll need four fully active outhalves in 2023, none of them as unprepared as Carty in 2019.

He forced it when he came on in the NZ 15 game and made a bunch of mistakes, I hope he just keeps a cool head and gives himself a chance to settle into the game.

The loss of Sexton is something we have to anticipate and probably get used to.

Can't see him getting to and through the World Cup without getting injured.

There's a lot of pressure on McCloskey now as well. He'll have to take some of the creative responsibilities off Crowley and ease him into the game.
