The "Anybody watching this series?" thread [read mod note in OP]

Post here if you want: a) to request to see if a thread has already been started, but you couldn't find it - considering the rubbish search function here, and b) to see if there is enough interest in a series you've started watching to warrant starting a new thread.

So if you can't find a thread, ask here about it, and others can paste a link if a thread already exists. If there is no thread, responses can be gauged to see if it's worth starting a new thread.

Mod: because this is a generalised thread that'll contain a lot of shows many people might still be watching, do NOT post Spoilers for the shows - and if you do, please put spoiler formatting on the text.

On a good day, any search engine will struggle with that name.

Back in the olden search engine days, words called "stop words" would be ignored by the engines. Stuff like "the", "a", "an" etc.

I'd be pretty sure "From" is probably one of em. Not sure how search engines deal with em nowadays but something to be aware of..

Can't see a thread for Halo - its on Paramount+. TV adaptations of video-games tend to be pretty dire, but reviews seem to be pretty positive. Watched the first episode, and pleasantly surprised with its potential. Anyone seen much of it?

I had noticed that 'Mo' was produced by Ramy Youssef, but it's only when I went looking for the 'Mo' trailer that I realized that he's a character from 'Ramy', which I watched and quite liked. So 'Mo' is a spinoff from 'Ramy'.... I'm trying to track it down now.

Far, far too much stuff out there to watch. I've started maybe a dozen threads for Netflix series most of which have no more than 5 replies.

Tempted to cancel Netflix and stick with Apple TV for a while. Also considering a Firestick, we'll see. Find it hard to power through shows due to real life commitments.

Has any seen 'Newark, Newark'? I watched what I thought was the first 3 episodes on Sky Gold. Turns out there's only 3 episodes.

A couple of recognizable faces there not listed on the blurb. It's the kind of show that goes unnoticed, but I'd recommend trying it out; amusingly annoying characters, but genuinely sweet and funny show.

I really loved the first series, got about half way through season 2 and got a bit bored with it. It has hilarious moments though, the opening with the private jets of Father Son Holy Ghost was a great way to start a show. I love how it absolutely pans these mega rich TV Evangelists. I still can't figure out why so many Americans are taken in by all of that. I will go back and finish season 2 at some point.

I have watched the first episode of a new show on channel 4 called I hate you (same guy who created Friday night dinner) some laughs, all available on all4.

The two leads are really good one is Tanya Reynolds from Sex Education.

Somewhere boy on Channel 4 is excellent. About a boy whose mentally ill father kept him in their house 24/7 told him there were monsters outside. he eventually had to leave and see the real world.

I've watched the first two. I'm not one for browsing on my phone to kill time; this type of 25-minute slot humour fits the bill perfectly instead.

I actually passed this over a long time ago with the naffness of the poster, but I remember thinking after a quick look though that it might be worth a look. Looking at the blurb stating that it's an Iran-centred espionage, it immediately pricked up my ears; I've just finished watching the very good Tehran, and I'm on season 3 of the excellent The Bureau (Le Bureau des légendes). The blurb states though that it's a dark comedy, which is a hard thing to pull off.
