Scummiest thing you've ever done?

Turning the other thread on its head and pointing the finger on yourself, what's the scummiest thing you've ever done? Something you're not proud of now and feel embarrassment or shame about now.

    Me?

    Stole a £50 note from a friends father's wallet when I was about 11.

Shoplifted a few bars of chocolate on occasion from local cornershop when 12-13.

Had sex with a friend of my girlfriends when I was 17, in a bar after closing

Took ecstasy several times in my early 20s, ashamed of my life walking home coming down afterwards.

I'm 36 now, matured a long time, no scummy actions in a decade at least, but regret those things above.

In fairness eating Pizza Hut whether paid for or not is scummy 😀

They should be paying you to eat that $hit. I remember there was something about loads of rats being found in a pizza hut factory once, so they probably got their own back on you in a way. ;)

I think messing with drugs is a bit but I can't judge too much with the occasional binge drink session with mates back in the day

I wasn't a fan of an old friends bf back during school days, a mutual friend said she was messaging him and she said "I wonder if he fancies me", I played devil's advocate and said "why don't you message him and ask". We all found out later they were hooking up. I felt horrible and the old friend stopped talking to me for ages.

Went to a cruising site in lanzqrote and took 2 strangers one after another

It was the bf who did the scummy thing there (or maybe the mutual friend), not you!

Says the guy who's not willing to share his own experiences!

Sounds like you made a good call. I guess pulling her aside and warning her about said guy wasn't an option? Perhaps it would get back to that guy and then he'd have it in for you.

@The Mighty Quinn Turning the other thread on its head and pointing the finger on yourself, what's the scummiest thing you've ever done?

That's the exact reason this thread will get so little replies. People like to give out about others, and will be very very slow (even when all anonymous) to admit to their own wrong doings. Sadly most people aren't introspective enough for this topic.

I tried ...but like what to say? ....looking back im not sure i made the right call ...I asked had he ever ....done anything to her she said no ....so i did warn her i guess

About the bf ....she had come to a similar conclusion i think but there was a lot of toing and froing ..sometimes the choice is doing a bad thing or doing a bad thing ...either way i would have felt uncomfortable.

Don’t tell me you really think that your online activities are anonymous?

People will not be stupid enough to declare any illegal activities that could get them into trouble if reported.

So let’s keep it light hearted and spare us your strange observations on human nature.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,209 ✭✭✭Brid Hegarty

That's all well and good if 100% of scummy things done are illegal? But that's not the case now is it????? And if if they were illegal, then the statue of limitation argument would apply most of the time. Smoking weed is illegal. Visiting a prostitute (as I've said) is illegal. But nobody cares. "Dodgson, Dodgson... we've got Dodgson here". So my I'm afraid my ingenious observation on human behaviour still stands.

The topic is “scummiest”, not anything scummy.

    God, you really are naive.

Shagged mates sisters and exes. And exes friends.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,209 ✭✭✭Brid Hegarty

So the only scummy things you do are the illegal ones? You've absolutely nothing to share otherwise? In your entire life?! I'm not naive enough to believe that!

When I was young and working in a sandwich bar in London, the boss offered two of us extra to clean out a warehouse of Xmas turkeys.

It was July, and the electricity had been switched off at the end of January.
