Ah cheers for confirming, that's the one I saw somewhere. Blistering speed from the BYD battery. Still not bad at all from the CATL, and slightly extra capacity so I suppose it evens out :)

It's been like this - Prepare for Delivery - for over 5 days now. Are they waiting for me to upload the proof of motor insurance? Can I get an insurance without a registration number?!

Proof of insurance not required here in Ireland.

Your car won't be ready until sometime between now and August 11th. Even that's an estimated date - my actual delivery date was about three weeks later than my original estimated delivery date. You don't need to upload an insurance cert and its highly unlikely you can organise insurance without your reg. You'll get your reg just before collection. You should be able to sort out insurance transfers quickly over the phone. I had no issues with AIG.

Upload a blank document to take care of that step. Its really just waiting for the staff to move it along. Don't stress it too much (which is easy to say, harder to do).

No need to even waste time doing that. It’s irrelevant in Ireland

the delay is waiting on the boat to drive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 331 ✭✭cloudhopper19

It’s a waiting game now…. FI say they are just waiting for Tesla to send over a final invoice before they issue the paperwork for signing. Just want it now …. Patience and all that.

I have the same window and I am still waiting - no text yet. My car was showing on the HOEGH TRIDENT which arrived in Zebrugge recently

I was 27th July to 11th august. That has now changed 2nd August to 17th August. The delivery process is a farce. Anyone in the same boat?? (If you’ll excuse the pun)

Just picked up the boss's car today and there was 1 other car waiting to be collected, a black m3 LR.

The car was already in the country, just waiting on the delivery team to give it to her. Asked about the new ones coming off the ship, the staff didn't know.

They have taken down the hoarding so the yard is massive now, you can see into the area they used to keep the cars not ready for pickup now. It's a massive area.

The car was spotless and at 48% SoC. No alignment gaps or issues were noted. Going to go over it again now that we are home.

For anyone using www.teslaalerts.ie groups to track inventory cars, it has not been working since early this week, I only noticed today. Something changed in the inventory page's API making it more difficult for bots to scrape it, but managed to work around it and it's back working today, you might have seen an avalanche of cars, but it's basically just alerted of most or all the cars in the inventory right now since the tool hasn't seen them for almost a week.

I am still on July 28th to August 12th. I'm waiting on a default spec white M3P. Have paid in full as of yesterday.

I'll be gutted if thats pushed out as I've sold my old car. Can make do but it'll be a bit of hassle.

Same here. I was on 27 Jul to 11 Aug window. Today it's been moved to 2 Aug to 17 Aug. This waiting game...

Also, I tried this API https://www.tesla.com/teslaaccount/oxp-bff-api/user-orders

Though I was assigned a vin as soon as I placed the order, this API response doesn't contain any useful info apart from the RN.

Mines just changed to August 2nd to 17th.

So frustrating. It initially changed from July 29th to August 13th, to July 28th to August 12th. I wrongly assumed that if they are taking the time to push it forward by a single day that I'd be getting it earlier rather than later.

My dates have been the exact same as yours Conar

Exact same dates before (28 Jul-12 Aug) and after (2-17 Aug) for me here. Two theories:

    1. Wonder have deliveries been split across multiple ships from Zeebrugge (eg Hermine, Celine, Thames Highway) - they may want to get everything in before starting pickups

    2. Not sure how many working days post arrival into the country to process VRT.

Thames highway is listed as arriving in Dublin on august 1 from zeebrugge. It’s a car transporter so fingers crossed we will see some progress…

    Hey Folks

I was going to order a model 3 standard range from “new inventory” on the site. I am wondering are they actively updated or just used as bait to get people into the order system? From reading the thread (it’s super informative!) it seems they could be on the way on a boat, or it could be months.

I’ll have to sell my current car but can get that turned around quickly.

    any insight greatly appreciated

    Thank you in advance

At the moment there is cars on the way to Dublin on a boat due in tomorrow. There is a strong chance any inventory car would be on your driveway in the next 2 weeks

There is a boat due in the next week or so. Strong chance you’d have a car in august Id say.

So I just spoke with Tesla and seemingly my car is still in Belgium and he couldn’t tell me when it was coming to Ireland. The process is so frustrating

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 42,443 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gumbo

This is half the problem. Tesla giving out too much info.

    what is the delivery window?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 962 ✭✭✭JOL1

Try your best not to let it frustrate you. If your car has arrived in Belgium (may even be in transit to Irleland at this stage) you are close to a delivery and Tesla staff have a policy of not advising details until they are ready to offer a firm collection appointment (I can understand this as they are constantly being asked and until logistics are certain they don't update. If they told you when car was being transported to Ireland next question would be when will it be ready to collection etc etc.). You should get a delivery appointment any day soon.

    @Jimmydfish What model is it?

Wonder if lots of manufacturers with lots of EV inventory are trying to get them onto forecourts and jamming up the boats. Or could be a delay due to them processing VRT etc Belgium side!

I picked up my White M3 rwd yesterday. The car was clean and soc @75%. I haven't found any defects so far and I've been all over it a few times. I have to say it's an absolutely remarkable machine. Everyone who's seen it so far from my 82 year old MIL to my 5 year old grandson has been blown away by it. My brother who was the most sceptical is actually seriously interested in buying one after taking it for a spin.

Yes, the buying process can be frustrating but try and stay Zen. It'll all be worth it when you pick up your own new Tessie.

Model 3 rwd. Tbh I don’t mind waiting but the delivery window has been moved 3 times and there is no communication

This is the response from Tesla IE.

My MY was on the Hemine that docked in Zeebrugge last week. Not sure if it’s already arrived in Dublin port or, as they mentioned, is still in transit.
