Do you have 3-phase at your house? I doubt it.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 42,443 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gumbo

All zappi as well as the tesla are 22kw capable. You can install them in normal single phase homes and only one phase is used. There will be empty slots inside the units where the additional wires would be connected in a 3ph set up.

But, to get 22kw charging from them, you need a e phase connection in your home.

Wallbox pulsar plus is an excellent charger - we had carplug.ie install ours and very happy with it. It also has the solar option

Delivery date of this Friday has been cancelled.

Tesla don't deliver at the beginning of quarters, rather the end. They had a big drop in June to get cars out before July 1st. The restock was never likely to be the next month, unless it's an inventory car that was brought here in the June shipment?

Shame they're not a little more transparent with this though.

Yep, its an inventory car that is here already.

    Will be grand.

I still haven't received the refund from Tesla after they cancelled the "fire sale" order in March due to "pricing errors". Many attempts were made to chase them for an update but nothing really worked.

    Anyone in the same boat?

The 250 EUR booking deposit was returned within a week to my credit card. But there has been no sign of 1200 EUR extra payment I made before Tesla cancelled the order. It has been nearly 4 months and I have been asked to provide my bank account details multiple times by various Tesla customer service representatives ...

    4 Months..????

Someone would have been hauled over the counter at least.

    Bloody ridiculous carry on.

For me sending the bank account details felt like the final step in the process when someone actually submits the refund request.. I did have to chase a payment myself for about a month, but eventually it did show up. The fact that this has dragged on for so long for you is completely unacceptable, you could consider involving the Small Claims Court if nothing else works, since your amount is under 2000 euros

I live close to Sandyford, but am not sure whether the Sales there could do anything. I was on the Tesla webchat earlier this morning, and got the below update:

"It looks like the request wasn't processed correctly (this could be due to a system glitch) and so the team have raised a case and you should receive your refund within the next couple of weeks (dependent on the banks and processing times). I completely understand and I'm truly sorry for your experience as it should have been flagged that the refund hadn't been processed correctly. I can confirm that it has been processed correctly now and we've let the relevant teams know that it is there. You should receive your refund within 2 weeks, I just can't guarantee when as this is down to the banks processing time. "

It is quite disappointing since various representatives confirmed, both on webchats and phone calls, that my refund was raised in the system and was just pending approval. Not a single person ever identified or flagged any issue. I really hope it works out this time.

The funny part was that a total of 4 representatives sent emails to me in the last 3 months asking for the same bank details. And the last person even requested me to send her my bank statement (which I consider containing sensitive personal financial info). But not a single word was responded to me after I got back to them. And they appeared to be non-exist when I wrote to them asking for update. My point is that if you're not bothered to reply to the customer, don't send emails to customers in the first place.

The car is great and I have been enjoying my MYLR since collection at the end of last month. But Tesla's customer service, especially pre-sales, has huge room for improvement.

If it was me, I would have called. It is generally easier to get an action out of someone when you speak to them directly. Webchat and email is just a tool to fob you off if they cannot resolve it.

    4 months is just ridiculous.

They promised that the refund request was raised correctly this time, so I will see how it goes in the next a few weeks.

Tesla's BSS platform was built perfectly for placing orders. But it can be a pain to get refund or request a return - not only for cars, but also the items they sell in their online shop.

I ordered some part from the online Tesla shop and will need to return it. I was instructed to click the "Return" button to initiate the process, and I should receive the pre-paid shipping label as well as the return instructions in my email. But 3 days passed, nothing arrived in my inbox (I did check the junk folder too), and I received no reply to my email query to their support email (onlineordersEMEA@tesla.com).

Their cars are great, but the customer services are hard to deal with - at least based on my own experience.

Did anyone with a car in Dublin ready to be delivered get a delivery date in the end?

Cheers lads, the boss is getting anxious waiting on hers..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 706 ✭✭✭the boss of me

I was promised on Monday that I'd have a delivery date by the end of the week. Here we are Friday evening and do I have one ?? Of course I don't. It's a very frustrating process.

Regarding the payment options, how did you guys pay the final amount before the delivery? I’ve decided not to go for financing the car, so full self payment. Bank has a daily transfer limit of 10k. That means, I need to do this payment over 5 days! Which sounds ridiculous… Checked with the payments team if they can accept a Bankers draft. Seems like they can’t. Anyone faced similar issue?

  • Moderators, Motoring & Transport Moderators, Regional East Moderators Posts: 8,267 Mod ✭✭✭✭liamog

I did daily transfers, others have been able to do a direct transfer from the bank branch in one go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,635 ✭✭✭Redfox25

Daily transfers but be careful to put your rn number in the transfer as I had an issue proving a payment which took a while to fix. Was grand in the end.

    Nope - I was promised deliveries start next week - let’s see…

Ridiculous stuff really - especially as cars on Irish soil

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 42,443 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gumbo

Online transfers are €10k daily. Ring your banking team and they can process more. Or go in branch and they can process more.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 280 ✭✭ModelWhy

I did it daily and it was fine. The amount showed in the Tesla account the next day.

Just provide your RN number as the reference and you're grand.

What’s the best comprehensive insurance for a Tesla? Some are quoting as high as €3450 (Power Insurance). An Post have the lowest at just €674. 123.ie have it around €1004, including €111 online discount. Axa said I can’t have an insurance with them since this will be the first time I’m owning an EV! I’m interested to know if anyone went with An Post and does it, or any other insurers, include the expansive glass roof covered? Thanks

"Best comprehensive insurance" - Impossible question to answer as there are so many variables most specific to customer profile.. You just need to search the market as the indicative quotes above show

Boat with my Tesla has arrived to zeebrugge. Anyone know how to figure out when they get shipped from zeebrugge to Dublin?

Keep an eye on this link should help. Not sure if you can set up a notification for it or anything though.

Based on experience, your car will be ready in Dublin anywhere between 1 & 3 weeks from now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 331 ✭✭cloudhopper19

Same here my car is on the boat that arrived in Zeebrugge yesterday. I haven't heard anything back or got any paperwork back from FI apart from the approval. . When does the paperwork and SEAI normally come through in others experiences.

SEAI paperwork is minimal (one form to be signed in advance of pickup and one to be signed after pickup) and timing in getting paperwork from Tesla varies. It is nothing to worry about as Tesla get automatic approval once they submit application to SEAI.

If you have determined your car has arrived in Zeebrugge you should soon get a delivery appointment from Tesla. Arrival time of car in Dublin port, while maybe of interest, is somewhat irrelevant as others on this forum have posted that their car is already in Ireland and they have bot yet received delivery appointment. This suggests that Tesla are most likely going to schedule all deliveries over a truncated period, which makes sense from a staffing perspective as they don't have a constant staff presence at the NVD pick up location. I know it is stressful but it will be soon!
