I get that and that faith is an important part of some people's lives. I know they get great solace from believing in an afterlife and meeting their loved ones again.

But the concept is terrifying to me. What do you do with all the time?

Assuming God with a capital G is the Abrahamic God, then the answer will vary depending on which Abrahamic tradition/denomination you follow. Roman Catholics believe that the Bishop of Rome is God's representative here on on earth, which would align with your layered hierarchy philosophy, but even that does not make the Bishop of Rome God, nor would he claim to be. Other denominations are lead by committee or fixed-term leaders on the basis that there is no hierarchy below God, its just Him and us, in direct relationship, no priestly hierarchy needed..

If you are a believer of any kind - whatever religion - you will believe what that religion teaches. Doesn't mean you are correct, but you will believe it and that's the best you will get. If you are not a believer then you don't know, no-one knows, there is no way of knowing.

I am of the 'nothing' opinion, and who knows, maybe that belief will be self-fulfilling. Some people may argue, you should believe, just in case, or because I believe, but belief is not something you can control. You either believe or you don't. And even then, belief is just that, and not infallible.

I have read the Bible, and are the "stories" stolen from previous philosophers etc... to give them some weight?

    My original question was,

"Is what people perceive as the mystery of God, merely a well hidden and historical layering system, leading to the Aristo-Cats" ?

Each Religion has a Female Horse at the top, who has control of the steering wheel" ?

The "Pyramid" are the Social layers of Hierarchical Society, with the secrets of past human agreements/rituals exposed at each layer, to the top.

Nothing, I think. I've seen little reason to believe that there is anything waiting for us once our mortal lives end.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

    But were you noting?

    Look at it this way.

Right now everyone of us has is made up of DNA from our parents.

And we also have a brain that gives us a consciousness that is shaped by our lived experience.

That's how we get our memories, language, identity etc etc.

But that consciousness only exist while we are alive.

So what's to stop us having another completely different consciousness in a completely different DNA structure (physical body) in the past or in the future.

I could have been alive as the queen of Sheba hundreds of years ago and I might be alive in a slum in the third world in 100 years time.

But none of those lives had any relationship to each other or the life I live today because each of those consciousnesses are individual and not linked.

Take a PC hard drive, wipe it and install it in another PC.

    That's what happens.

'That's what happens' is quite the assertation.

Can you prove that's what happens? How?

That's what I think happens, no way to prove it

You get to face every single one of your dead ancestors (including the fish ones) who will confirm "Yes, we could see you masturbating".

Then, YOU get to join that group and so on so forth for eternity.

TLDR : You're a waanker and everybody knows it.

Ah okay, so what you 'think' happens - little bit different.

For your situation to exist, you'd have to believe in some soul or consciousness attached to our body which does not rely on it to exist and transcends time.

Which is quite contradictory to earlier in your post where you said 'And we also have a brain that gives us a consciousness that is shaped by our lived experience.'

Either our brain is responsible for our consciousness and our consciousness ceases to be once it does, or our consciousness is independent to our body (aka a soul or some sort)

The fact that you can change someone's personality and lived experience/consciousness so much by interfering with or damaging their brain leads me to believe it's the first.

When you live the life of an incel you have no fear of the after life or non existence if that is what it will be. I know I'm not going to hell as I have already lived in hell aka this world. I wouldn't deserve to go to hell anyway as I've been societies victim my whole life, a punch bag for people. If I go to hell then most other people should expect an even worse hell, the bottom pits of hell.

Anyone young enough to remember what equated a life affirming nite back in the day?

..first Death; on the bill and then you shall meet your Kreator.

I can prove that either your Mama or a Christian Brother first told about the Abstract Concept of a God.

Did a Tech Entrepreneur tell you there was God orbiting space? Who taught and Nurtured the idea of a God into you ahead? Such abstract ideas were not required to get fed as a Baby, and were Natural Instincts.

The God relationship can be avoided going through a proxy like a priest, and you can speak to the true God, an old female horse

Not before you wake up in a wooden box, Underground. Those Egyptian Witches will put a spell on you or poison you with dandelions that make you appear dead.

Now I feel you're less someone coming up on DMT and more a bot trying to string posts together but failing.

What does this evening mean? Do tell us more about this old female horse...

    True.

But, more than likely, there's nothing and if that's the case we won't care.

I'll let into a secret, a God is an abstract branch in your mind, created by the Ancient Greeks.

Such abstract branches can be created in any direction, about anything, and usually require Power to hold weight.

The mind is strange how it accepts these things to exist, and creates an area in the brain to branch, if brainwashed in early years. Old people won't accept this new idea, and Caeser will have to wait for them to die before the idea is accepted by everyone.

    There is no God

All we are are consciousnesses developed in a physical brain attached to a physical body.

That consciousnesses dies when we die.
