For the second part of your post, there is an actual organised movement. In order to get in, you have to provide proof that you are genuinely an incel through other forms of social media, as well as knowing the lingo and other such criteria. It's not just a mere Facebook group type thing where anyone can join if you agree to the rules. They are a secretive group that you have to jump through hoops to join and they watch member for anyone not acting incel enough.

There was a short documentary on it, where it showed how a cyber security expert had to infiltrate the group by building up a fake profile for months beforehand, using all the right words, joining all the right group across social media platforms and posting all the right things in order to be accepted in. They essentially had to create a whole fake person's online existence.

    1) answer the question I asked first!

    2) I said that it will "decrease the chances" - I was very specific on that. Twice. I did NOT say it would stop you being friendzoned altogether.

    3) Never disagreed with the last sentence.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

But what happens if they actually get "a bit of action" so to speak? Are they kicked out? What if they an opportunity presents itself but they refuse, do they lose their "involuntary" status?

I'm not even going to read any of the replies here as I don't want to be put in an even fouler mood.

There is so much wrong with this post you made, so much wrong. You say men who sit on forums are "dangerous" to women? This is hilarious. Look at the men in prisons, they have had multiple girlfriends and sex partners. It is non incels who are dangerous to women yet women still want to date them. Men like me who never speak to women are not dangerous. I am happy that you fear me though. The majority of rape cases are not carried out by incels, they are carried out by men who have had girlfriends. The recent rape in Tullamore was carried out by a man with a wife. The Sarah Everard murderer had a wife and also the Albanian who raped that other girl recently in London had a wife.

If you want to keep fearing us incels that is fine but the real danger is right beneath your nose. That normie guy beside you will spike your drink and rape you, not loner incels who spend their Saturday nights in their bedrooms.

I also find it funny how middle aged men here think they can comment on incels. You people grew up before the internet, before average women had direct access to top tier men through Tinder. The sexual marketplace is much different to when you grew up. You don't get to compare your youth to men who grew up in the 2010s.

Your level of ignorance is astounding. Hilarious really. I'm 45 years old, and pretty much a committed bachelor. The internet was around when I was in my early teens, and online dating has been a thing since I was in college. Not to the extent of the tinder generation, but if anything there was likely more dating going on, as opposed to the hookup scene that happens today. In any case, there has been an online dating scene since the Internet made it's way into our lives.

Secondly, us "mature" generation are often well travelled, having experienced far more than Ireland, and the limited dating scene that exists here, both online and offline. I've lived the last decade in Xi'an with a population of over 10 million, which has a host of tinder clones, but also a vibrant singles bar scene. I've also worked/lived in New York, Brisbane, Tokyo, Kyoto.. and yeah, their dating scenes are rather robust and active.

The sexual marketplace... that's a funny one. Really does get the idea across that your focus is entirely on sex as being the qualifier of a good time. I guess us old ones, are a bit weird in that we like to get both romantic/intimate relationships, and then, when we're in the mood for something purely physical, then we might go for that. It must be a bit of a shocker to realise that everything doesn't revolve around sex.. which, frankly, get's kinda boring after you've had some varied experience. Here's a pro tip. The only people concerned about getting sex, or all that impressed by sexual experience, are the people not getting any. If you're getting plenty of sex, then it becomes no longer all that important in your life.

So... my guess is that your own experiences are rather limited in scope, and in spite of the airs you've assumed in this post, you really don't have much of a clue about meeting and being "successful" with a better class of women or men.

I do have to laugh because some things don't change. I can remember looking at my parents generation, and thinking that my own generation was so much more informed about sex, and going nuts. Little do we really know, though. And here you are, assuming some kind of superior position, because you supposedly grew up in a better culture? haha. The young are really stupid (as I was). Funny how some things stay the same.

I'm not even going to read any of the replies here as I don't want to be put in an even fouler mood.

You're not going to read the posts to the thread, but assume a position of superior knowledge, while also being in an informed position to dismiss other posters contributions.... while being ignorant of their actual contributions. haha. Truly funny.

Volcels unite ! :D ...less bitter, and without the need for a "marketplace" (lol)

A truly odd response, possibly the most odd on the entire thread. If you change your mind and actually read the thread, I think you'd find thats it been a very balanced and interesting discussion with folks from all the different positions contributing quite well.

Don't be so down dude. Just because these 45 year olds on tinder are hoovering up all the available ladies. Just keep trying to improve yourself and you'll get there some day.

Can you answer the question from above seeing as how you self-identify as an "incel". It is a genuine question. If a lady contacted you and told you she was mad about you and wanted a ride off you, would you have to revoke your incel status? Is there such a thing as temporary revocation?

    anyone see this

One guy sends fake photos to women on dating sites, make date and then abuses them when they show up. Catfishing them he calls it.

A guy from northern Ireland seems genuine non violent with depression anxiety. Likewise guy from new York seems genuine too not bitter to women for his loneliness

You're so out of the loop it's insane. You haven't a clue what you're talking about tbh. The guy was talking about how toxic modern dating is and you go off rambling about how he thinks it's better or something.

We live in a market society now and not everyone thinks like this but enough of it has and this seeped into people's minds.

Internet dating before 2012 was completely different. It was much more earnest and less harsh than the real world where people actually did value personality(look how long winded those POF profiles were) but this changed with Tinder. Forces have been unleashed and they need to be put back into the box.

    😁

We'll just have to disagree over the interpretation... and how exactly am I out of the loop? Anything specific to point out?

Nice guys are really absolute sociopaths hiding in the long grass

The "nice guys" who are just pathetic wimps using it as an act to get women, for me, are the Twitter using types, with those really close up selfies as profile photos, possibly neckbearded as well, who hop on any virtue signalling topic they can. These are the lads with below average levels of testosterone for sure.

Why would they use a tactic that blatantly doesn't work? Lots of inferences being made. On the opposite hand the guy that is too forward is at best displaying toxic masculinity and at worst a creep. That is unless he's good looking, has cemented social status and is wealthy(or from wealth)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,503 ✭✭✭✭Mad_maxx

Those incels need to move to rural ireland.

Women would rush past George Clooney to Johnny ten bellies as Clooneys grandad didn't line out for the parish ,being ugly is fine as long as you are seed , breed and generation

Not all hope lost for average dudes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 86 ✭✭Christine Neville

It all boils down to percentages. It doesn't matter if cads are, lets say, twice as more likely to rape women than incels. If that means that your chance of being raped go from 0.5 % to 1 %, than it doesn't matter a whole lot.

So harmless and all as you may be, you know why it is you don't get laid.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,604 ✭✭✭Amadan Dubh

They use the tactic as it enables them to appear to be on the side of women and therefore get closer to them which, for these kind of guys, is the best they can hope for. But of course it doesn't work as they don't have any personalities of themselves and women are not attracted to these "yes" men.

On the other side, I'm not sure what toxic masculinity is but masculinity is appealing to women in general so whether it amounts to something toxic or not, it at least works with women, but the "nice" guys can't be masculine which is why they try to painfully come across as nice.

To be clear, we aren't actually talking about nice guys, but "nice guys" who act that way predominantly to get closer to women.

Yeah but hold on a second. These fellas try something that doesn't work. It never works. They are making an effort to put it on. And even when it doesn't work they keep doing the same thing?????? Your post makes no sense.

It'd be like if I get the idea into my head that women want a marathon runner. So I get up every morning and run 10 miles. Eventually I'm running running running all the time. Just with the intention to get women. Then I find out that women don't want a skinny string of bones..............but I decided to keep going out for the runs to try to get a woman. It takes less effort to not run than it does to run. Similarly, it takes less effort to be selfish and an arsehole than someone that makes an effort.

I'd say what is likely is that plenty of fellas want to condescend and sneer towards the concept of "nice" because they themselves are arseholes. The fella who is overly "nice" is probably just overdoing the "making an effort" type of thing or else just do it while they are young and stupid until they learn. There are people though that are genuinely nicer in real life than others. I think that is what many people refer to. I don't think there can be that many genuinely deluded people who put on a show for extended periods of time with ulterior motives.
