Ray was so be fuddled with the buttons, he said. "You could not make it up."

Ray breaking his hole at the News reader making a mistake

What a tool, like he never makes any 🤔

He does like to scoff at others, despite the fact that he gave us the "Heimlich Remover" and "Lozengers".

Ray just said he's no hand to eye coordination?

    I'm shocked 🤔🤣

I'd say if RTÉ moved Ray to 2FM they'd save the station, they should consider it.

    No, it's not.

He is simply, what would have been called back in less PC days, as an idiot.

Yes, I did hear that he once sent his Christmas wishlist to Satan.

    Ohhhhh, Raaaaaaaaay.

when I heard that KBsigned a €250,000 contract - per year for 5 years I was put on the verge of not paying the licence.

    Two points

    (1) I did not see the position being advertised

    (2) D’Arcy would probably have accepted €175,000 per annum

‘Well ray, sorry about that but times are tough and we are being watched very closely by the public , so €175,,000 it is and no ifs or buts ‘

I assume that if rte gets part funded from the exchequer that it will have to advertise all positionS in public, etc, etc, etc.

Dustin is just on there now. He genuinely has to be up there as one of Ireland's great comic minds. He started by ripping RTE for their 700m windfall.

Phil Cawley had an interesting story on that podcast about Darcy's time at Today FM, he said Darcy refused to use the new MP3 computer studio technology and continued playing music from CDs until he left

He seems to rehearsed ramblings. You remember "You're A Star" …. yeah Ray you presented, you were there.

Oh do you have a link.

Why was Ray loading and changing CDs. I get it if it was a local radio station. But surely a national broadcaster would have producers doing it.

48 died in The Stardust fire -not 44 Ray, ya thick!

It's not like it hasn't been in the news recently

No, RTÉ have a few exceptions to some rules, not sure where it would come in this instance but for example RTÉ can stop FoI's if they deem the documents requested are of an editorial nature.

We ran very late with Dermot Bannon. He then went to Sinead ni Huallachain (so?) at 3:57 for a 5 minute slot. Then the obligatory Ad break and only then went to Nuacht. A professional with a strong producer would not have let the Bannon puff piece overrun and if they had , they would help over the next slot until after the Nuacht.

Not our Ray, though - he has been hostile to an Nuacht since day 1 ( moaned vociferously until it was switched from it's original 3:30 slot)

I suspect the Nuacht newsreaders hate his guts too - fair play to them for making a point

Good man Ray - that must be (almost) a record

Full of excuses after the news - " The computer screen was blank"

Ray is on a roll today

    "Apologies to Dick ban Dyke"

"No weather today. Ah these things happen" says Ray as he puts the fader up half way through his opening ident.

30 minutes playing short music clips (and talking over them) there must be no black lesbian traveller with cancer available to talk to him today

And surprisingly he's forgotten where the buttons are

I wonder was he jet lagged, referring to Richie Hogan as an inter-county footballer, while talking to him. Interviews with him and Anthony Scaramucci were interesting though, if a bit "interrupty" at times.

Scaramucci made an interesting point about the US election - that Trump gets a pass on all the outrageous things he says, because 'That's just Trump' but his minions don't get that leeway, almost like they are expected to be the sane adults in the room.
