Hi All, is anyone still waiting on notice from Medical, I done my medical the first week of July and needed an opticians report, I’ve sent this in weeks ago but still no news, I’ve emailed a few times also, is this standard from your experience, thanks

Got a call today about the next intake finally cleared the background checks. Just wondering if there is any whatsapp group for it at all? Was worried I was getting overlooked so hopefully gives others waiting awhile hope aswell for getting in.

Received phone call for next intake.

My timeline-

March 2023- Fitness, medical completed ( medical results took 6 weeks) and vetting started

August 2023- Had Local station meeting and offer received offer 4-5 days after local station meeting

Anyone waiting, just be patient and your phone will ring with the offer.

Is the phonecall just confirming you are available and hasn't provided a start date or are you ask just refusing to mention the date as multiple people have asked?

I asked your man on the phone was it for October he said yea, I asked would he know when, he just said between the start and middle of October at some point, he said they send out emails with the actual date next month and the call is just a heads up to prepare yourself with your current work and life a bit in advance.

Hey , waiting on one suitably check to come back . Has anyone had a quick turnaround on this ? All I’m hearing is horror stories of waiting 3/4/5/6 months waiting for it to come back? It’s only been just over a week since my medical came back so I’m only waiting on this check to come back before my offer.

Got called for the October intake . My timeline was 7 months for backround checks after the medical last December. I Put it down to living abroad but there’s so many different stories of times who knows

Got an offer today for the October intake. My timeline from Medical to now was around 3/4 months, but I also had to submit another medical letter from my doctor.

Bit late responding to this but curious to hear how it worked out for you ? They wouldn't tell me what BMI I should be aiming for just gave to three months to correct it ?

Still waiting to hear I’m waiting 17 months from first day applying have everything completed literally just waiting for a date one suitability check waiting to come back for about 6 months, feel like thrown in the towel, anyone else experiencing something like this ?

Does anyone know how long you’re on the €184 pw? Is it the full 7/8 months until attestation? Wondering if you’re paid more when in the training station for the 8 weeks.

You receive an allowance of roughly €26 for each shift worked in your training station.

I am in the same boat, I applied in 2022 March it's a long wait, I have all done now just background checks are ongoing there is a chance to still get call for October but I think more likely for December fingers crossed 🤞
