Actually a lot has changed, over recent years homicide rates are gone way down. Despite the hysteria, the rate in Ireland is 0.4 per 100000 women, and has been decreasing (it peaked at 1 in 1996).

I disagree but obviously only regarding the greenway I walk on..always people around. I walk mid morning. Plenty of walkers, cyclists, people walking dogs. I'd very rarely be "isolated " as such. While someone would be approaching they're would normally be someone in the background. Of course sometimes I might be isolated but not very often. Thankfully I feel safe on mine..
