Is Hamilton finishes second, was there even a penalty?

I am happy to see Danny Ric have a nice weekend - hopefully he can get a bit more consistent.

Can the FIA do a further investigation of the incident after the race or is that it done now?

Hopefully, lucky to walk away from that, you could see from the line Hamilton was on that he was going to run him off the track anyway.

Max gone to a local hospital for further checks.

Some nice omens mentioned there for Ferrari.

1951 Ferrari win, Charles drove that very car around the track this weekend. 2011 the last time it was paraded at the track and Alonso went on to win for Ferrari...

    2021 - Please Charles!

Max is been taken to a local hospital which hopefully is just being overly cautious.

I think the FAI make decisions based on what would make the fight for the championship as close as possible. Max came to Silverstone with too much of a lead for the FIA’s liking. I’m not suggesting that they favor Hamilton, they just want to extend the battle.

    Perez is in the pits.

Team order, do not fight with Lewis.

    Seb's car is being retired.

Hamilton will catch him. He's a second faster per lap at the moment.

Russell should have a no Team order clause in his contract of he moves to Merc. Sick of gifting people a place in this sport. The penalty didn't end up punishing Hamilton at all.

Jesus, Bottas is just an empty husk of a driver. If your team mate has served a 10 second penalty and still manages to pass you 3/4 of the way through the GP you know it’s bad.

Charles leclerc said he’s got pace for use in his Ferrari and towards the end he needs to give it welly.

Hopefully Charles has plenty of tyres left.

He'll win the race so he's actually being rewarded for knocking Verstappen out.

And hopefully no safety car to bring Lewis closer.

For the love of god please Charles bring it home!

nothing to do with the driver that was always going to happen

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,445 ✭✭✭✭namloc1980

Charles is goosed. He'll get caught.

At the end of the day regardless of whether you feel Hamilton should have been punished more or less, this result is good for the Championship, it tightens it back up and helps maintain interest and excitement as we progress through the season.

What do you mean it’s nothing to do with the driver? Hamilton had a 10 second penalty and is still destroying him in this race. It’s everything to do with the driver!

This is gonna be so tight, come lap 50. The Merc struggling to follow, might save the Ferrari.

The remainder of the races (especially after the break) will suit Mercedes. Even with how the start of the season has gone Hamilton was my favourite to win the title, he needed more like a 50 point lead over the summer for it to be even IMO.

This is all over. Charles doesn't have the pace.

    This is looking ominous.

    Sitting Duck.

Completely mad that you can cause a driver to retire and still go and win the race. Red Bull will be rightly annoyed at how soft the penalty was.
