Hi all, The AutoSave Draft feature is now disabled across the site. The decision to disable the feature was made via a poll last year. The delay in putting it in place was due to a bug/update issue. This should serve as a reminder to manually save your drafts if you wish to keep them. Thanks, The Boards Team.

Credit where it’s due, Ricciardo has had a great race so far.

I wonder have they changed it based on his lack of pace, there was a radio message earlier telling him to stick with Hamilton and pass Norris.

I know Hamilton hasn't passed Norris but Bottas has gone backwards - is it all preserving tyre pace?

Probably a bit of both but once Hamilton didn't pass straight away the switch in strategy the right call and bottas only a few secs off them so it might pay off

I'd love to see it again, but a 5 second penalty is very harsh for me.

    Thats bullsh1t in fairness.

    Very harsh for Lando

That penalty is harsh to me.

    Stupid penalty

Seriously what the fcuk are they doing? They're doing they're most to make the sport into an absolute joke.

We had Horner pretty much say it was a racing incident, I wonder who made the call and gave the penalty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,642 ✭✭✭✭ Faugheen

    Entirely agree. Absolute nonsense.

Fair play to Hamilton with that message there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,312 ✭✭✭ jammiedodgers

Absolute joke. Even Horner thought it was a racing incident.

Nonsense penalty. Space wasn't there for Perez and he was able to go for overtake because he went so wide at earlier turn and had more speed than he should have.

    🤪

Would like to see better angles, the onboard shots as well. But initial reaction was racing incident and no penalty required

  • Registered Users Posts: 37,848 ✭✭✭✭ Itssoeasy

Those onboard shots don’t show how Lando deserved a time penalty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,461 ✭✭✭✭ ctrl-alt-delete

Right those onboards were some good views, Lando still left him room, there was quite a gap between the cars there in f1 terms or am i being stupid?

Perez literally pulled out of it.

    That's actually a joke of a penality

Max sounds like he's out for a relaxing sunday drive

Derek Warwick was always a muppet not a surprise he is looking for attention handing out that idiotic decision

Good question from Lando. “For what ?”

Pretty dejected in that message, "if it is for that turn 4 what does the guy expect when ge goes out wide?"

I'm with Di Resta and I want to see hard racing, you take that chance you've got to be prepared for it not working. Not all tracks are going to have a nice run off area to soften the blow.

Ricciardo doing a good job here

So far, better race than last week.

It's like they don't want the drivers to overtake at all, just drive around in a procession.

I just can't listen to Di Resta and his "mee-jum" tyre and "he's went" and "he's saw".

    Anyway, back to the race...

I’m surprised that Max has not pitted yet. Fantastic drive by him so far, in a class of his own.
