I am stating that the researchers themselves in the study being referenced have not concluded that there is causation. The study explicitly says the 'truth remains to be established.' The paper presents correlation, not causation, and that's a fact.

That's the position I was trying to establish.

Stepping back, been in quite a few threads featuring "vaccine skeptics" and there's always the same pattern:

    • Cherry-picked (often questionable) studies that suit their agenda but ignore the vast amount of studies that don't
    • Frequent references to questionable individuals
    • False balance and "just asking questions"
    • Confusing correlation with causation
    • Exploiting scientific uncertainty
    • Misrepresenting scientific consensus
    • Shifting goalposts, conspiracy framing, whataboutism, gish gallop

Anyone one of these is a large red flag in any scientific debate on anything - the fact that that someone has to rely on multiples of these in any debate should be a flashing red light to that person and everyone else
