while many see this game as a slam dunk I don't believe so. La Rochelle are struggling. Northampton are not

and Leinster do know how to bottle semifinals

I think Brian O'Driscoll would be embarrassed getting compared to that crawl, Donal

    Too easy

    Another great try.

But Northampton must be skirting very close to a yellow for high tackles. At least two in the opening 15 minutes.

    Not great kicks from Northampton

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,924 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Northampton set the trap there on that kicking duel and they almost broke through.

Lets not fall for that again.

Langdon and Augustus the only Northampton players to show up so far. The former has been very physical while the latter is the only person able to get go forward carries

Northampton look pretty shît. Are they really in the top 4 sides. Stroll in the park for Leinster so far

they are an absolute joke. Can’t even say it’s Leinster causing them to make mistakes; they’re just muck. Dropping the ball all over the place.

prevent fans getting onto the pitch at GAA games.

That should be a red card for Northampton 14, shoulder direct to head at the ruck.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,716 ✭✭✭irelandrover

Has to be red. Totally unnecessary hit to the head of a defenceless player.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,085 ✭✭✭theVersatile

    Nothing in that.

The best thing you can say about Northampton is that they're only down by 12. Woeful handling all game - Mitchell is useless against any kind of structured defence

  • Registered Users Posts: 330 ✭✭Rugbyf565

that’s mental they didn’t look at that red card incident, can’t understand that. ECPR will have some explaining to do after this game.

Nothing in it? He shoulders Moloney in the head at a dead ruck...line it up and hit him. No excuse for it, wasn't a dynamic situation, just a dirty shot on a player who couldn't avoid the hit.

    Raynal’s just a disgrace

Leinsters defence has been phenomenal. They've shut down so many Northampton attacks and it was only in the final 5 minutes of the half that the opposition started coming into the game.

Conversely our attack hasn't been great. Lots of one out passes that were met on the gain line. Would have been great to score that try right on 40 minutes, but again we got too bunched up and narrow. Only option was to stay tight and we eventually knocked on.

Osborne looking like he's been in the starting 15 for years.

that ruck hit was just in front of me and it didn’t look like there was anything in to be honest, his hand did come through and knock the ball on however.

Leinster are very meh here tbh, but Northampton are hot garbage. You’ll win this handily.

A performance like this in the final and there will be no 5th star though.

We should probably be further ahead considering how much territory we've had. I'm worried about Northampton's ability to find the edge quickly. They've shown they can do it a few times and if they cut out the handling errors they can score trys.

But we've had the majority of the ball and if we stop making mistakes of our own we should win. Saw a fair few Northampton forwards blowing hard during that half. Given them a proper workout.

Saints have spent about 0.2 seconds in the Leinster 22.

There are dog **** when they are put under pressure one or two out.

Leinster doing what they need to do to win this easily.
