In Ryans head if he doesn't agree or like something it's OK to laugh and snear at.

If he doesn't like something it shouldn't be allowed and I'll read out lots of texts to agree with me.

But it is not bullying or meanness if huberdy says it

Bit of news I spotted this morning:

Serious coincidence that Ryan has decided that 'ads are back' and should be watched and not gast forwarded past any more. The reason why? Very vague as to why apart from an 'opportunity to throw some wood on the fire' or take a break from the programme.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,929 ✭✭✭✭Ash.J.Williams

that actually happened and it panned out as you said :)

What the F was the point of that caller?! Telling us how great a social life she has?!?!?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,133 ✭✭✭mistersifter

I was about to post the same. That whole show was even more pointless than usual.

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,420 ✭✭✭✭sligojoek

I heard him earlier apologising to Tyrone people for his support of Mayo.

As if they gave a sh1t about who he supports.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,504 ✭✭✭SpitfireIV

I reckon this caller is gonna be pretty pointless too.

He spends his broadcasting life fruitlessly trying to make himself relevant. Scorn not his insincerity.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,929 ✭✭✭✭Ash.J.Williams

i was watching a game one sunday with tyrone playing and one of the rte panel shouted "cmon the tax payers" which i thought only they could get away with that :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,358 ✭✭✭✭elperello

Sorry, I could have phrased that more precisely.

What I meant was that I never heard of SVP paying well known people for their services.

Can you confirm that they do?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,876 ✭✭✭Gen.Zhukov

    @elperello

I think my rationale was made fairly clear in post #3385 and I'm good with that ta. 👍️

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,358 ✭✭✭✭elperello

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,358 ✭✭✭✭elperello

That's the post where you suggested that RT was on the SVP payroll.

    I don't think he is.

Of course if you can stand up your suggestion I'll be interested to hear from you.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,876 ✭✭✭Gen.Zhukov

I think he is and you think he isn't. Mexican stand-off eh. Of course if you can stand up your suggestion I'll be interested to hear from you.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,358 ✭✭✭✭elperello

Sorry it doesn't work like that.

You made the claim all you have to do is prove it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,876 ✭✭✭Gen.Zhukov

I have to prove sfa. We both know how these ****s operate, the difference is, you're ok with it, I'm not. I won't be messing up the thread any further with this crap so if you want to have the last word on it, off ya go. I am right on this. Your implication that Ryan does this for free (while not letting that info slip out) is farcical.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,358 ✭✭✭✭elperello

Now you are trying to tell me what I think.

I most definitely would not be ok with SVP wasting my my donations and the donations of other people on paying RT.

Until I see proof that SVP are engaged in this practice I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

He spent about 5 minutes on Friday dissing the Diana musical, telling us he hadn't heard it and was just listening for the first time live on air, but clearly had already made up his mind that it was awful... Then spews his opinionated rubbish for a few minutes, stupid impression of Diana included. If it ever came to the Bord Gais theatre he'd be falling over himself to get a performance on the LLS, telling us how wonderful it is, how wonderful the cast is, how the lead actress's grandmother came from Ballywhatever.

He also read out a text which called it a 'car crash'. Part of me thinks he really is stupid enough to have not copped that reference, but part of me knows he really is that sinister and sick.

Just a correction here as it pertains to me. Over 6 months of effort (in the face of severe intransigence) were wasted as a small but vocal cohort have a certain modus operandi.

An attempt was made to counter this MO. By creating a thread for actual discussion of the shows content. But a cohort much prefer to drive others away. Bicker snipe and sneer about a show they 'hate'. Under the guise of 'banter' constantly. The anthesis of what boards.ie is supposed to be about. Such as the 'don't be a dick' rule and encouraging open discussion - nothing to do with whether it is positive or not.

Also I note, StevenToast has previous. And has often proudly professed, that his one ambition is to slag off Tubridy at least once a day. And then feels like his 'work' is done. (No I am not making it up) That is the mindset on this thread and that is the level of posters mindset.

The more discerning poster and less 'odd ball-ish' - quickly realise that such posters are better left alone. Whether such posters have the self awareness to realise how odd this is, is another question entirely. An odd 'club' indeed. But sure, if a cohort want to keep spinning a warped take on actual events (such as the above post by Ash J Williams) it again says a lot about the mindset of this thread. Twisted and odd. And living in thier own internet bubble. This current thread/petri dish could be studied by psychologists in future. It would form a good case study IMO.

The cohort will discuss this comment at the agm in the hairy lemon on Friday at 8pm

I am just correcting your spin of a post. I am keeping an eye on this caged zoo of a thread. Posters who are unwitting specimens in a psychological experiment of thier own making. The thread itself is not amusing by any means. But the 'carry on' and blind continuance of a blinkered 'culture' is funny to watch.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,929 ✭✭✭✭Ash.J.Williams

Best of luck with the experiment

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,133 ✭✭✭mistersifter

A quick google search will bring up plenty of old threads about Tubridy from different forums. Most of these threads echo what is said here.

People have been saying the same things about him since he started on the Late Late. It's nothing to do with an ex-mod creating a culture of bullying here - that's a ridiculous claim.
