Lashing rain and windy here in NCD.

Met Eireann says it will clear up. I hope there right as to meet up with another family in park later.

It's days like this when outdoor socialising is a problem!

A lot of rain in DA overnight/ this morning.

Looking like about 19mm so far.

ME saying the outlook is for staying unsettled out until the end of next week. May starting to look like becoming a write off.

The wind is vying for volume with the cuckoo..(the latter is right outside my window)

Bitter cold wind and a historic lighting of the fire in MAY.

    Estivation appeals .

Sun out here in D5 coast, feels warm af, so different to recent weather

16.5c in West Clare, warm sunshine with passing clouds. Very humid and windy today. You can even smell the difference in the airmass.

    Stunning here now in NCD.

Brilliant to actually have heat in that sun.

You would never believe there was torrential rain all morning apart from the puddles everywhere in the park!

Overcast and quite breezy in East Cork. Only upside is that it's dry.

Cool with lots of heavy showers in Donegal, we really do seem to be drawing the short end of the straw almost every single day this spring

Lovely sunset and sky to end the day at Sutton, best I have seen in a while. Makes up for the lack of a sunrise and very wet early morning.

It’s so windy in Cork City! Can’t get over it; starting to lash now too

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,790 ✭✭✭appledrop

    Amazing pictures sryanbruen.

You would never think from those pictures that we had over 20mm of rain at DA yesterday morning!

May is already much wetter than last few years at DA and only 8th.

    We are now at 34mm at 8th May, compared to only 9mm, 33mm & 19mm for all of May 2020, 2019 & 2018 respectively.

    Windy and wet.

Very gusty in KE but feeling mildish

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,023 ✭✭✭Donegal Storm

Dark thundery looking skies in Donegal today, lots of heavy looking showers on radar but we've dodged all the heavier stuff so far, just some light/moderate bursts

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,117 ✭✭✭pad199207

Nice afternoon now but wind is a nuisance. Gusts 68kmh

  • Registered Users Posts: 896 ✭✭✭KanyeSouthEast

Very disappointing day hate to see these weekends slip by with this kind of weather. A wind there that wouldn’t be out of place in October.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,674 ✭✭✭Rougies

We're under a pretty consistent clear patch here in Southwest Dublin, probably thanks to the Wicklow mountains. Lovely day as long as you have everything tied down, pretty gusty winds.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,754 ✭✭✭✭Thelonious Monk

breezy cloudy a bit rainy and the odd bit of sun in Dublin this morning, looks like this is the weather for the next couple of weeks at least, some respite would be nice eventually

Wet morning here 10 degrees with a real feel of 7 on my run this morning! The forecast is bad for the week. Hopefully we’re getting our quota of bad weather out of the way and June and July come good.
