Mine going to 389ARS on 20th Dec.

Tripled in price from 119Ars so about 72c to about €2.25.

    What’s the best now?

    Turkey or India?

    Im on Turkey for Netflix.

    My latest India was €2.22

Just followed the instructions in the OP's edited original post and it worked perfectly via Turkey with Windscribe (with a two month free trial). Windscribe wouldn't allow India or Argentina without upgrading. Thanks!

i did it on my phone, just downloaded any "turkey vpn" app and then turn vpn to turkey, then just try it normally via chrome and it worked! no idea what was different but on the laptop i was using holavpn so must have been a VPN thing.

Thought I would ask this here as so many people have YT Music:

Is anyone having any trouble with the app on Apple CarPlay? I no longer get access to my playlists (as in that menu is gone altogether). Have to play them through the phone, which defeats the purpose.

Is that family or a single sub?

I've a family plan in India since 2020 and it's steadily been around €2.20 a month since I joined from what I can remember.

Argentina is going up in price this month too. Relative speaking of course, 112ARS to 389ARS.

    Is India now the cheapest?

Just swapped from Argentina to Turkey.

Thanks to the guys who keep this thread alive with constant updates on best places to swap to etc

    1. Cancelled YT Premium on my iPad. Can use PC too here as was getting issues on the phone.
    2. Opened YT browser on phone while using Windscribe VPN (free) on my phone set to Turkey.
    3. Renewed for the annual option at 299 lira for 12 months.

€15.21 for 12 months in Turkey instead of €27 by staying with Argentina.

Not gone same millions here, but it all adds up when subscribing to them all.

    Thanks.

Can someone point me what im doing wrong.Im using Surfshark VPN(fully paid),connected to Turkey and no matter what I do price are showing in british pounds. Not even in Euro.I have even created new payment profile on google pay for Turkey and still nothing.I checked my ip and its showing Istanbul so VPN works fine.

I had the same issue with Express VPN so added the Windscribe chrome extension and it worked.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,043 ✭✭✭jeffk

Tried it there and couldnt get it not to be in euros and lucky to get back too Argentina pricing (and im tech minded before someone suggests VPN etc advise)

I would think twice if other people attempted it, 50c or so a week is grand

Just to anyone that’s had issues with their payment method being declined. I’m YouTube India and I got the message about the recurring payment not going through this month (Revolut) I tried multiple cards and all got stuck on a swirling circle however it accepted my physical revolt card on the first try! Thought I would be without the deal so delighted it went through, hope it helps anyone else with the same problem! I have had this deal for over a year and it’s the first time an issue like this has came up.

Didn't work for me. Had to cancel India membership and sign up for Argentina, which worked at the first try.

I've got once space opened up on an Irish family plan, 36 for the year.

Just did this on the laptop. All done and changed from Arg to Tur in 5mins. Thanks

What happens to your library of music when you cancel and resubscribe from elsewhere?

(Just curious, I'm not going to risk it myself as I've a couple of others on my family plan and don't want to mess it up on them).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,406 ✭✭✭cullenswood

All stays the same. Its pretty seemless in fairness

Whats the price in Turkey compared to Argentina for the family plan? Is there much saving? Planning on switching over

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 8,144 ✭✭✭Soarer

So is Turkey now the cheapest for a family subscription?

My Argentina sub is going up to ARS699 per month.

    EDIT: Checked it myself.

Family in Turkey is TRY60 per month, approx. €3.03.

Family in Argentina is ARS700 per month, approx. €3.80.

Hardly worth the effort in changing, especially when you're likely to make a bags of it like me! But I do like the thought of fighting the man...
