G2A is essentially a marketplace that resells gift cards, so you wont have any idea where the cards have been supplied from (although I presume there is some sort of vetting to prevent widespread fraud).

Eneba and CDKeys anecdotally seem to have a better reputation that G2A, which may be reflected in their slightly higher prices. I never have purchased from G2A for this reason - but I have no official sources to back this up, just what I read across various reddit threads on streaming & gaming services.

Turgame is the only vender Im aware of that purports to act as a direct vendor which is where I make all my Turkey purchases now. But where they source their cards from is anyones guess.

Theres been no wide spread reports of this happening on reddit since this time either so I would tend to agree, based on my comments above.

I set up my turkish apple ID over a week ago and added lira gift cards to my account, i held off switching over my Polish account as I was paid up till 10th July, having read above about the apple method failing for some people lately, I said Id try to switch over now, bar having to add in a turkish address and a phone number to my account, it worked fine and I am now set up via turkey again and 209.00 has been taken from my balance.

Same happened to me, annoyingly my young lad logged me out of iTunes to do something, not sure if that was related.

But I can'tog back in and Apple just rejected my request to unlock the account.

I should be good until the end of the month and then I'll just create a new account and try again.

Hopefully this isn't the end, I've 5 leechers in my family so not too interested in paying 300 a year just for no ads.

Thanks for this detailed breakdown. One q I have my own YouTube account if I linked in with someone else who did the setting up would all my say Subscriptions, Playlists than be lost as they are linked to my own account??

I am just on my 2nd month of my free offer that I was given and I can't see myself going back to regular YouTube once this is done!

Nope, the members of the family all have their own individual account, so playlists and subscriptions/etc aren't affected and aren't visible to each other. So you're sound there.

Any country I try now tells me my payment method fails, having previously allowed me to temporarily move to a variety of countries before. The turkish apple method failed for me before, probably need to try it again soon.

Looks like it works out as €52 each for the year for 6 of us. If I can try to set it up I will. I was on a headspace one here before with a whatsapp group. No chat from one end of the year to the other it was just to confirm and renew and if not comfortable with that people could just email. If I can get it sorted I'll try to set it up sure.
