Ireland restrict PNG to 98/8 in the 20 overs

    8 wicket win

Final warm up game is on today v Bangladesh. No KOB in the team. Both Stirling (22) and Balbirnie (25) are out with Ireland 64/2 from 7.4 overs. Not an awful start but will be interesting to see if the middle order can put together a decent score from here

177/3 in the end. Delany with an excellent 88 not out including 8 sixes

Brilliant knock that from Delany a couple of early wickets now and we've a real chance

3 wickets in the bag and Bangladesh 48/3 after 7 overs

70/4 at half way mark of Bangladesh innings

A 33 run win in the end. Promising signs in these last 2 warm up games

Great win that over Bangladesh we're either very good or very bad we don't seem to have an inbetween but a massive boost here is that it was't the old reliables Stirling or O Brien who got us home middle order stood up Delany in particular was outstanding.

Young Little Singh and Adair all bowled brilliantly as well.

"Young Little Singh" confused me dreadfully - Simi's not small and not exactly a child either. Then I realised what you meant.

Whoops apologies should have added the correct punctuation there.

No apologies necessary at all, it just made me giggle!

And onwards to the WI for the qualifier at the end of January. A long time to be away from home, especially over Christmas.

Watching the match live, USA 11 for 2, both wickets for Barry McCarthy. Extremely annoying American commentator, putting on a strange accent at times

    12/3

This is shaping out to be a shocker.

Embarrassing performance batting wise in the last 10 overs.

All that focusing on white ball cricket is really showing some fruition. Could have been 50-100 run loss.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,019 ✭✭✭✭Rjd2

Is their anyone who can score a run outside Balbirnie/Stirling and Delany?

Not impressed today with our batting.

Beaten by the US, so we have been beaten by a team, 17 places below us in the ICC World T20 rankings. Christ…. To put it into context…Uganda, Saudi Arabia and Italy are all ranked higher then the US…

Another new low and the US were missing 4 of their better players too.

Don't really see any light at the end of the tunnel either.
