Inhaler is a very unfortunate name to have during a year decimated by a respiratory disease.

    Tell that to Danny O'Reilly.

So he basically hates all songs that all the fans love and give them bank

    Jesus.

There’s only 1 year between Bono and The edge. The edge looks a good 10 years younger.

Shane MacGowan is only two years older.

This is how we do it on the northside.

I was hoping it would be the Thompson Twins song. :(:o

Think what a good presenter could do with this - Bono and Edge live. What an opportunity.

Or an opportunity for plamas in Ryan's world.

The Edge is the worst nickname ever, and this is just taken for granted and not discussed nearly often enough.

    The Blunt more like.

Achtung Baby was amazing all the same.

    Boy
    War
    Unforgettable Fire
    Joshua Tree
    Achtung Baby
    Rattle & Hum
    Zooropa

all were quite good...hard to hit those heights again. They do a good stage show though..

Whatever you think about U2, you can't deny 'I Will Follow' is immense.

Along with dozens of other songs.

U2 have a fine back catalogue of music

It probably won't be recognised in Ireland until Bono dies

So are they all going to butcher Merry Xmas (War is Over)? U2 did that many many years ago on the LLS just before Christmas. Actually a nice version

Or are they going to do a repeat butchering of Fairytale this year?

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,599 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

I know they want to get their money's worth with U2, so to speak, but there's been almost tge same number of songs as they have in a normal Late Late

Adored U2 in my yoof. Not much of a concert person but saw them live in Slane in the early 2000’s. Best concert I’ve ever been to. Still sleep in the t shirt with a still from the “one” video on it.

They had some incredible songs in my opinion.
