For me it has to be Novel. There is nothing novel about this horrible virus that has been around for almost a year now if you ask me.

So what word do you hate that is associated with it?

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Wet pubs, can't stand that expression. Just call them pubs. It's an attempt to link traditional pubs with the wet markets in China.

    This one is commonly mentioned.

It actually comes from the UK, where it's been in use for years. Here's an example from 2018: https://www.morningadvertiser.co.uk/Article/2018/06/28/Wet-led-pubs-are-no-longer-viable

For me it's "getting back to normal" being spoken about in a positive light.

"Normal" is/was not a desirable place to be. We have now shown that remote working is very feasible for many different sectors. This should not stop. It has huge benefits for the environment & our housing crisis. It will spread out the growth of our urban areas nationwide instead of having a never ending expansion of Dublin.

Workers will spend less time commuting and will have more time for family, leisure and spending money locally.

Wet Pubs or Wet Led Pubs is a term the pub industry and pub lobbies have used for donkeys' years.

This conspiracy theory that everyone is out to get the pubs has to be up there with the Covid- 5G conspiracy theory.

    Contact tracing.

Do enough people really use that App consistently and is there any evidence that it was proportinate and effective, or was it just a box ticking exercise.

Do traditional Irish pubs sell the same things you find at a wet market in China?

Haven't a clue, the thread is looking for examples of words you hate that are associated with Covid-19 and I gave my example.
