Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Nah mate another assessment first

Wouldn't be a bad idea to actually read the booklet and all informations given!.. no offence.

No. Supervised tests in late February. As you need to achieve a similar score and show that it was you who done it the first time. It'll probably be viewed via a cam... Then the interview is in March.

Nicely done. I just missed the last one.

Literally answered the last question with 1 second to spare, felt like I was disarming a bloody bomb or something!

Second part was the finest I thought anyway, sure we'll see how we get on.

Chat ye all in Mid Feb :)

Random question, not sure if anybody will know but, is there a dress code for this job?
I mean what do you actually wear while working your shift?

Regular smart / casual in some places, others wear a uniform of navy cargos & polo tops.

I'm guessing by your name that you might be going for the job in GISC in Castlebar? If so they dress casual enough. Jeans, jumpers, chinos, t shirts. Some might wear a shirt sometimes but generally casual. Don't wear a suit, or you'll stick out like a sore thumb!

Anyone have the candidate information booklet for this be willing to send it to me? My very old laptop died and I had only saved it on that somehow.

I am pretty sure we can't really talk about the test itself with too many details.. however I can tell you there are clear examples before you start and you can repeat that introduction if you need to.. examples don't count in final result .. you have got this! no panic, open it up :)

Are you talking about the examples in the accompanying familiarisation document?. I didn't see any practice questions but the examples are clear enough..

You're the best! Thank you so much!

Just did the test there, don't know how many questions i got done, didn't look at the clock, felt less than 8 mins, i honestly thought it had timed out prematurely! Not too optimistic about my score :(

Second test was actually fun but got my very last one wrong :( I was going hell for leather haha

    Best of luck everyone!

Last year it was grand. So, last year there was a test where you had to listen to a call and type in the necessary information! Similar to what the role would be I assume..

That's what I was expecting for it but was surprised it was this. A friend of mine did one for the ESB electrician and she said the first one sounds exactly like what they did

Wonder will that be part of stage 2? I don't think we have received any info on that in the original booklet

  • Registered Users Posts: 29 Big_Baner

Congrats to everyone who passed! Had a rough week overall so it was nice to receive some good news for a change.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14 Barmanhu

Congrats on all that progress to stage 2. Does anyone, who may have gone through the process, know what's next. Got to interview stage for a previous application and remember stage 2 was a supervised test in PAS in Dublin. If it is, is there a way to prep? With pandemic raging Im guessing this wont happen?

  • Registered Users Posts: 93 ✭✭Itainire

I do try to be kind and help where possible.. but lads we all have the same informations.

According to the message we got today, they will send more info about stage 2 in the coming weeks. That's it! As simple as that, we just got to be patient and follow what we are being told :) no need to stress and panic.
This is obviously an unique year so what has been done in the past might not even be relevant at all!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 16 Account2021

    Passed also. (Dublin).

Was expecting there to be an OOM in the email based on the information booklet.

I wonder if they have changed this now perhaps and we will all be invited at the same time for Stage 2.
