It won't be. Demon's Souls was out at launch and it's still €80. Their recent "sale" price was €70.

Ratchet might be €60 at Christmas if we're lucky

The other thing with a game like Demon Souls, I know I'm gonna be terrible at it so I'm just not gonna buy it at anywhere near full price. Then you've got something like Returnal which I'll either love or hate it, I'd be more willing to take risk at lower price. Something like Rift, I'll buy in a month or two even if full price tbh. Mainly holding out for an OLED tv at this point. The risk with a Ratchet game is lower in my head I think.

I get that. I saw some people flying through Returnal and yet I haven finished it and put 50-60 hours in, I'm terrible at it lol.

Demon Souls however I had no problem finishing it but have played nearly all the soulsbourne games.

I think Ratchet will be great and not to taxing and can just enjoy what's happening

I've a few games I want to finish first but will buy it next week

I got the BX and apart from a slightly slower processor there isn't much difference so would probably be even cheaper.

Yeah oled is bloody great for gaming, on pc at 4k 120 hdr it’s a thing to behold

Sony games do mostly seem to have better hdr though so really looking forward to rachet and clank

The digital on the MS store is 69.99 and 79.99 too.
smyths is both 64.99 and 74.99 for both.

Where you seeing the lower Xbox prices.

The Phantom Pain

I'm not a fan of the party chat layout now that I've been using t more for some recent games i've been playing. It's messy and confusing. Maybe I'm just used to the simplicity of the PS4 so it will just take some time to adapt to but I find it takes too long to get to messages. Maybe they're trying to encourage us to use the PS app for player interactions but they really ruined the app with the recent update. it's slow and you can't view the activities of friends now.

I traded in Valhalla today against R&C. Word of warning to others, the PS4 version of Valhalla doesn't count towards the 50% off deal in GS. Even though it's a free upgrade to the PS5 version, only the PS5 disc version is counted. Still though, definitely worth the price. Such an amazing game. The graphics, sound, DualSense implementation, humour, throwbacks, references to other games, voice acting, characters... its got it all. I was particularly impressed by Ratchets fur dry v wet, when wet its not only darker, but it also shows the weight of the wet hair and everything is ever so slightly down at the tips. It's these small details that will set this gen apart imo.

If you've ever liked any R&C game before, you'll like this. Really shows off the power of the PS5 too. Highly recommended.

I also enjoyed the PS4 menues better. The messages and party chat were way better.

The menu I miss most is the one where you hold in the ps button and it opens a small box while still in game and you have stuff like Spotify etc in there. Was really handy

Friends and party is garbage. I'm not sure if there is something I'm missing but I find it very hard to just quick see what people are playing and what party they are actually in.

Because parties don't delete once every logs off, I'll see a old party set up and it shows each member and what they are playing but they aren't actually in that party.

Lads I'm trying to buy R&C here on the store and I've €75 credit on my account but it doesn't seem to be showing up when I go to pay. Am I doing something wrong?

Edit: figured it out, had to add an extra €5 to my account. I thought I used to be able to take the amount from my wallet and pay the balance on my card on PS4 but I must be mixed up.

That's the way it's meant to work.

But there's a minimum of €5 charge for certain payment methods. So you couldn't use €75 from wallet and then €4.99 directly for the €79.99 game.

It used to just tell you there's a minimum charge, and you auto spend the €5 and just have 1c left.
