PP special Appreciate It, Shiskin and Epatante 25/1.

Best price is 19/1 Antepost and 16/1 NRNB.

Worth a tenner I think and the beauty is you will know your faith very early!!

To clarify, I am not saying Zanahiyer can't or won't win - far from it. I just think that there is a fair chance he goes off better than 5/2. Betfair are offering 3's on their sportsbook. I presume that is AP?

    https://www.oddschecker.com/cheltenham-festival/triumph-hurdle/winner

Most bookies will not give you GP on NRNB bets placed now.

If he drifted on the day you might even get bookies offering 4 places etc - as they will first race on Gold Cup day.

    Just Saying.

The last four favourites for the Triumph have all gone off 5/2 or shorter, add in the Elliot factor and its very hard to see him going off bigger on the day.

I dont think there is any great juice in the price, I am on at 8s all the way down to 4s but I wouldnt talk anyone out of backing it at 5/2 NRNB

On a slightly off topic matter I would love to see some detailed analysis of SP's at the festival, to me there is definitely more shorties now that there used to be, bookies are far less likely to take a 'position' like they used to do.

Yeah backed The Storyteller straight away, no entry in the GC too!

One of the old style NRNB bets, is Klassical Dream. He's be of interest if he was to actually show up in the CH. 33/1 seems value. He's a big price, but its getting late to start chasing now.

They've been talking about Klassical Dream going chasing since the middle of last season, he flopped over hurdles last year. Surely if turns up this season it's in the Arkle and not in the Champion Hurdle.

although i suppose that's the beauty of NRNB :)

He wasn't right last year. Wouldn't have gone a yard over fences either.

He'll only go CH if he does something decent over hurdles beforehand so it really is a good value shout.

Any word from any other bookies about going NRNB?

Can't see Klassical Dream going back over hurdles. Willie said that he was hoping it was just a pulled muscle over xmas. Hopefully that is all it is. They think an awful lot of him and i'd say they will stick to the fences. If that means missing Cheltenham so be it. His supreme win was just so impressive

Probably didn't beat much today but think he's going to be a beast over further and fences in time. Gone in again at 33s for the Albert Bartlett.
Prob be WPM 2nd or 3rd string on the day if he goes but won't be 33s or 50s.

Lovely surprise to see Stattler at 12s(best available price) and 10s with the two I've backed him with.
Would be thrilled just to see him line up!

    Championship races only from memory

France have banned all travel for elite sports, 6 nations to be cancelled etc. So anyone holding an antepost ticket on Easyland might want to act now.

The Storyteller for the Stayers Hurdle and Delta Work for the Gold Cup for me.

I think the Storyteller is Gordon’s “plot” horse for the Festival. He’s a terrific horse and just watch there’ll be no talk about him in the lead up to the Festival, we saw what kind of a genius Gordon is with what he did with Cause of Causes and Tiger Roll. This could be another master stroke from him. 20/1 is a big price for this horse.

Delta Work ran a horrible race last year in the Golf Cup, he never travelled at all and hit a load of fences especially on the second circuit. Every time Mark Walsh got him into some sort of a rhythm he hit a fence and had to start all over again. Considering how bad he ran he still finished 5th and only beaten 5 lengths. Now the one concern for me is that because he fell over Christmas Gordon has to get another run into him. Gordon would have skipped the Dublin Racing Festival if he had stayed on his feet a fortnight ago. I think he was a tired horse heading to Cheltenham last year and I would like to see him get a clear round next month, where he finishes doesn’t bother me. Once he gets round then 33/1 for the Gold Cup is a crazy price.

20/1 and 33/1 for two horses with bundles of class and both are previous Festival winners.

I think Kennedy missing the ride in March didn’t help Delta Work either & he’d be running again somewhere wether he fell or won over Xmas IMO, I think he’s one of those that improves after each run.

If rumours tonight are confirmed, this will all be irrelevant by Wednesday lads

    What rumours ?

Anyone have a comment on The Shunter for the county hurdle. (Friday)

He was impressive in November at Cheltenham in the Greatwood hurdle and Emmet Mullins seems to be getting a lot more out of him than the previous trainer.

I used to have a decent interest in racing and starting to get back into it again and The Shunter just came on my radar. So no tip/ inside info, just purely piqued my interest.

Took a punt at 25/1 on unibet (now 16's)

(also running next Sat in fairyhouse)

I find it hard to see how a handful of Ambulances are going to make an impact on the UK's Covid crisis?

No sale so far, has any concrete evidence of racing being shut down been published at all?

Gay Kelleway thinking it is a good idea doesn't count btw.

It's not Racing they are speculating about, it is all elite sport. No idea if there is any substance to the rumours, but there are enough of them to make it seem like a real possibility. I don't think people here, as in Ireland, fully grasp exactly how serious the situation is in London where in some areas the numbers of infection are as high as 1 in 20.

Control the controllables Raj, let the rest look after itself. No point getting het up about something you cannot offer a solution for, waste of time.

I am just hoping that Lydia makes it over to Leopardstown. Small mercies.

Joseph O'Brien has been quiet enough with his NH runners. What do you reckon he is scheming?

Kevin Blake has been on the ol podcast scene saying Joseph is concentrating on the flat rats and easing out of the jumps game so I'd say he isn't breaking his arse to get back in the game
