    She must have a book??
    Found it!
Former state pathologist Marie Cassidy to publish memoir in October

    Kids?

Everything she is talking about is a real case.

I think it is very unprofessional - she works for the state. She isn't a celebrity and it is not a topic for entertainment.

Even her cheerfull delivery is a bit inappropriate.

    Mentioned a family now.

She didn’t mention any case by name though. Tubs has now asked her about one.

Jesus if she was sitting there looking miserable it’d be “here’s the misery slot”.

    Fooking sick twisted monster!!

    Her mother squirming!

I'm not sure her candour will be appreciated by the victim's families. Far too casual. It's all a big joke.

Dealing with that type of stuff, you have to develop a sense of humour or how the hell else could you do it.....

    Took dogs for walk.

Come back in, turn on telly.

    First words I hear...

Ryan: "It's such a sad and horrible story..."

It really is quite a programme, the Late Late.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,311 ✭✭✭CH3OH

surely she would have signed a confidentiality agreement covering her employment

Little known fact- after the Graham Dwyer murder trial Marie Cassidy came out and said she didnt think he could be found guilty on the forensic evidence. She quickly retracted her statement but it was too late and what she sad has now formed part of Graham Dwyers appeal against his conviction.

No Ryan, you couldn't be a state pathologist if you were disturbed by the sights.

That's exactly what I was going to post. It really is ridiculous what is happening here. I'm wondering will she regret this, and all the laughing.

In fairness, I say you would develop a bit of a detachment in a job like that. They must come across some horrific scenes.

    I think she is great.

People have told me that when dealing with death on a regular basis you have to be cheerful to get through it.
She’s retired now and has had a great career. All credit to her.
