What do you think of Russia's military sales to Azerbaijan.

Nothing unusual considering they are run by a pro russian leader and their families.
Russia sells to Azerbaijan , russia sell to Belarus who in turn sell to Azerbaijan , Belarus buys from Russia sells to Armenia ,russia sells to Armenia ,
Russia sell to Turkey , turkey in turns sells to Azerbaijan along with Israel .

Both former russian states supported by and armed , both now at war again will anything change no

Why do you make up stuff? Do you just post the first thing that comes into your head? Yesterday the Guardian was pro Putin which gave me a good laugh.
Azerbaijan is a NATO member in all but name and are de facto members so hardly 'pro Putin'.

Two things had need to happen quickly. Putin must go, he is weak, maybe is too old, but Russia need a stronger leader, a MAN not a clown that just does nothing. Second, Georgia need to step in, they will be the next target after Armenia.

Ah run along elmer or egg or who ever else .

must be a quite day in the factory so

Didn't you regularly use the guardian as claims of proof

On one hand you are saying nothing will change. On the other you are suggesting Belarus military sales to Azerbaijan do not bode well for the CSTO pact.Look maybe my question was vague and I apologise if so.But I think you are contradicting yourself.

.But I think you are contradicting yourself.

    No I'm not .

As I said nothing will change ,it's going 30+ years and will still be going on in another 30 years ,
Again refer to Russian agreements as a joke they litterally are not worth Elmer's toilet paper ,
Ukraine surrender all your nuclear weapons to us and we sign a formal friendship and non aggression threaty ,a few years later russian forces invade and occupy parts of Ukraine to this day .

Russians agreements are about as reliable and trustworthy as boards trolls and re-reg accounts

Russia has asked both nations to come to Moscow for peace talks. It is not in Russia's interests to join this war.

Putin will have a hard time convincing Azerbaijan to end the fighting. Armenia likely already agreed with Putin to end the fighting.

The ceasefires are broken within hours of being called.

    Very messy situation.

Both sides claim that the other side breached the truce first.

Happened multiple times from both sides, russian brokered deals tend not to last long

Minutes even, some of its probably a control issue , the groups firing the weapons aren't exactly 100 % under the control of the leaders ,
Some of it is probably tactical ,or maybe aspirational ...

Disturbing off-shoot of this conflict, especially given all the recent terrorism in France:
    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/turks-azeris-lyon-france-armenians-vienne-video-b1422175.html

Azeris and Turks (and fellow-travellers) in Lyons in packs hunting for Armenians (France has a large Armenian community, mainly established after the 1915 genocide).

Partly in response, France has banned the Turkish "Grey Wolves". (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_Wolves_(organization))
    https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20201104-ankara-vows-firm-response-to-french-ban-on-turkish-group

Erdogan vows to respond, keeps ratcheting up the tension.

When it comes to human and materiel losses, the Armenians are losing badly

Modern warfare is amazing, each 'kill' is caught on camera.
    Cannot post links yet
    search for oryxspioenkop
second news item down.'The Fight For Nagorno-Karabakh'
It gives a complete breakdown, with pictures of each sides losses

Meanwhile Ireland continues to import these kinds of young angry blokes.
Funny we don't see women out chanting like this, or being invited here on asylum grounds.

Interesting developments over Putins health today might explain the lack of russian involvement lately

Kremlin officially denying it. I guess they would, but only source seems to a British tabloid... getting off-topic though

Isn’t it quite convenient that the talks of a new bill absolving ex presidents of any criminal prosecution, comes around just as rumours of health demise surface.

We should defend our way of life to an extent that any attempt on it is crushed, so that any adversary will never make such an attempt in the future.

Why would he need protections from prosecution if he's never done anything wrong ever ,

I did notice something slightly odd in a recent photo of him he had a weird comb over where one section of his hair was definitely longer and darker in area I believe in his left side of his head or it could be absolutely nothing

QUOTE=Gatling;115211338]Why would he need protections from prosecution if he's never done anything wrong ever.

Eh because he has done loads wrong and bad. He is a dictator and he has had people who spoke up against him killed imprisoned. He has denied his people he right to vote at elections ever since he first came to power and fixed it so he always wins.
He bombed and destroyed Chechnya went they just wanted freedom and there own country.
He has helped other dictators kill there own people namely Syria. He has wrongly taken Crimea from Ukraine.
How can you say he has never done anything wrong? He is a dictator and a bully.

Azerbaijan have reportedly taken/liberated (depending on your viewpoint) the key city of Shusha.

It's very close to the Nagorno-Karabakh capital of Stepanakert.

Sounds like Armenia are being driven back by overwhelming weaponry and manpower.

Hopefully there won't be more retribution and ethnic cleansing in the Caucusus

Yep, reports look like it's curtains for Armenia in NK.

Big celebrations in Baku this evening.

Azerbaijan absolutely hammered the Armenians ,it was pretty much one sided ,was expecting the Russians would have stepped in weeks ago ,

Last time they captured Susha (1920), they killed every Armenian man woman and child they captured.
Hopefully world won’t allow this to happen again.

Russians have pretty much said that they won't intervene unless there are attacks on Armenia proper , and since ngorno karabach is a province of Azerbaijan... As long as the Azeries stop at the border, and the Turks behave ,then the Russians don't have to get involved ,
It looks like the Azeries have been building up for this waiting for their moment ... And they got it ,
The Turks in an agressive mood ,giving them special forces and drones ,
The armenians liberalising and looking away from russia ,
And the Azeries population and financial advantage ...
Heard a commentator say that with armenian material losses and their defence budget it'll take at least a decade for them to recover , and that's not including personnel loses .... or the influx of refugees

Russian Mi24 helo downed apparently outside the conflict zone in Armenia
Azerbaijan have admitted and offered compensation. So that's interesting...
