I completely agree its ridiculous letting the joe mcdonagh teams into the liam Mccarthy to get a hiding..its an extra game for the sake of it. Its no good to the likes of tipp either..risking injuries etc...however leaving any more than 3 of the munster teams progress would completely dilute it..

TThey're 2 different arguments in my opinion

I hear you but infact we've had a couple of dead rubbers games in Munster the last couple of years whereas if 4 were through you are likely always going to have something to play for the final day.

Personally I don't think the round robin is the correct solution for the provincials anyway because of the obvious difference in jeopardy between both provinces. Completely imbalanced.

we could lose the prelims as they are ,play munster 4th vs leinster 3rd and vice versa , loser of provincial final has to play the winner of these matches .

Minor game is a cracker. A bit of light is appearing at the end of the tunnel for waterford hurling.

    Just the tonic. Absolutely brilliant.

#9 Is Gearóid O'Shea from St Mollerans. I presume he's related to Jerome O'Shea who was on the 1992 U21 team. (Am open to correction here).

    Great game from both teams.

Am not looking forward to when the Kk chaps are senior as well, some good forwards there.

Character all over the field and they have been showing it all year. Joxer giving an emotional interview too. Just brilliant to see and a massive massive boost to Waterford hurling!

ah lads that was some tonic. just When you thought Waterford hurling is dead in the water this group of lads show up. Full credit to Joxer and his management team they’ve done some job with them. Nothing to fear in the final either

    up the deise

Great night in Wexford, great performance for the lads and something that the county badly needed.

What will be will be in the final, getting this far is a great achievement, most likely a other go against cork and the lads won't fear meeting them or Clare.

An absolutely brilliant game from start to finish.

Marvellous win, and if they can repeat that effort and skill they will be very difficult to beat by whoever shows up.

Our senior team could do with whatever those lads have that gives them accuracy from all over the field. I do not recall any easy chance missed.

They have a few things to work on, but they showed their physical strength and huge skill today.

    Congrats to all concerned! 😁

Fair play to Waterford that’s a fantastic minor team yee have bitterly disappointing defeat again from a kk perspective

Yee might chance bringing a bus for the final 🤣

Great game. Bit loose at the start of both halves but got back into it fighting. Ref wasn't blowing for much for either team though which made it a bit frantic at times. Likely Cork in the final based on the Munster Championship but Waterford lads look like they would relish the opportunity for another shot at Cork 💪

    Brillant night for Waterford Hurling

Do we ever do things easy ?

If only they would get a day out in Croke Park, change for the sake of change

It’s been moved for good reason as has been pointed out previously. The move has resulted in brilliant atmosphere for the minor finals, rather than playing in a 1/4 full Croke Park hours before the senior final with very limited tickets unless your county is also in the senior final.

I'm assuming the final will be in Thurles regardless of who wins tomorrow

Is there a time and day set for the final yet? I know Joxer said 2 weeks time. Assume its a Saturday night match?

That last few minutes were nerve racking.

Brilliant win, the passion in the performance would give you hope for the future.

Super performance tonight. Huge character shown. Big performances all over the field. Full back line excellent again. Half back line improving again and looking a lot more solid the last 2 games. Midfield did well. Good spread of scorers in the forwards, although Spain still did huge damage it’s great to see a bigger spread of scorers. Delighted for the management team. Thought the ref was excellent too. Couple of calls both sides may not have been happy with but overall did well, allowed physicality, didn’t fall for lads trying to buy frees on both sides. He added to the game IMO.

    Get your point

Im more of a traditionalist and 2013 (and 2017) were great occasions having the Minor Finals on before the big one

Is what it is and roll on 2 weeks time

Maybe theyll need bums on seats for a potential senior All Ireland semi final of Kilkenny vs Dublin 😊and have our game as the curtain raiser
