Fans not doing Maguire any favours.

Greek lawyer in Harry Maguire case reveals details of hate mail he received

Ioannis Paradissis says messages from supporters of Manchester United footballer have shocked him

    "There goes your economy?"

Not sure what the lawyer did wrong here to deserve the abuse. He was just doing his job.

I remember when Gary Neville praised the Crystal Palace fans as the best in England because of the atmosphere at Selhurst Park.

The same boys were giving Wayne Rooney dogs abuse when taking corners which was picked up on the mics. They were pelting him with coins also.

He was England captain at the time.

    Remember Lawnsdowne Road.

Relying on tropes and prejudice is not really an offence. It's just generic bigotry...if it's not true. Of course, maybe he is fluent in Albanian or they helpfully gave him their address.

Now, you've played the "Greek legal system is very bad" card, and the "I have no idea why he might have specified that Albanian criminals were after him" card, any other amusing defences?

I didn't say the greek legal system was bad, or any worse than others. I disagreed that such serious charges should be sped through the system so quickly without anyone having the time to cool down or prepare a case.

Since then I've learned that it's not really the case and i actually quite like it now as i guess undisputed cases will be finished quickly, while disputed cases like this will be cleared and the presumtion of innocence is there upon appeal.

You are the only one playing some bizarre 'albanian card'. I'm just pointing out the bending over backwards you are doing in order to make the player look worse and for your agenda to villify him further. Where or when did Maguire even say the word 'albanian'?

Simon Harris is monitoring the situation...

The attempted bribery has to be the worse thing about the while affair. Should be stripped of the captaincy at United as a hard minimum.

    So that is true

    this perhaps....
A statement, printed in Greek media, alleges Maguire told cops: "F**k you all, f**k off, f**k the Greek police, f**k policeman, f**k Greece, f**k the Greek civilisation, I don't give a s**t".

No way he said "**** the Greek civilisation". Definitely something lost in translation there. The "Greek people" maybe, but civilisation? Doubt it!

I dont think i believe either side in this story tbh.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test
