I'm not sure it was handled badly.

He's an academic with a slightly unusual proposal. She gave him time to explain it and then asked the oil guy to comment.

He's not a politician or a salesman just putting out an idea. Hardly needed to be grilled.

I never heard it mentioned before. I thought those kind of loans only existed in Japan or China.

I was quite intrigued and will seek out more detail on it.

As for why bother, I'm an avid radio listener and I always find a reason to switch on.

Your theorising would be fine if there was some sort of a plan for these people. Colm revealed there isn't. So in the meantime while they get their fingers out is asking for basic human needs unreasonable? I think reasonable people will be disgusted by Colm tbh.

I don’t agree as my previous post outlines Francis.

I have every sympathy for genuine asylum seekers, but providing the tools to set up a canvas city in the middle of Dublin is

not a good option.

I really hope the current govt is voted out next election then we will see how these ‘hurlers on the ditch’ with all the answers

sort everything out quickly.
