Meant to ask, did you do well in the main Fantasy Football comp?

Might try Sky one as well, presume it is on a separate platform?

Average just, finished around 150k this season in fpl. Mainly focus on the sky game.

It's good they got it up and running. Will have to get around to setting up the Boards league. And winning the £50k this season obviously. May set up a money league exclusively for boardsies as well if the demand is there (reminder a SkyBet account is required for this). Set up my 2 teams anyway: both 5-3-2 as it stands! Obviously we have the headache of no City or Man U gw1. Pope no gw1 either. Not sure it will be worth going without Bruno and KdB starting out and then (likely) committing to 2 early transfers to get them in.

Is there a crazy amount of money available for this in comparison to FPL

Yea decent money if you come first you get 50k. Can also enter cash league and you can win decent money.

No i more mean to build my team. Much less difficult decisions

It’s to not hard to create a decent team. 99.9% of teams will have the same 3/4 players. You just need to set your team up for the upcoming games

In sky you get a captain every day and eg you can take Kane out on a Saturday and bring auba in on Sunday and you keep all the points from Kane and auba. It’s more exciting then fpl. But I’d deos take more planning.

The passing/tackle/shots bonus is good aswell.Makes players like vvd a gem in the sky game gets passing bonus every game

Are there price changes in the sky game or do the players stay the same price over the whole season?

    Stay the same whole season.

Quick first draft. Some potential bargains in defence with Arsenal and Leicester (Justin is also cheap). I'll change it again but probably not too much unless my 2 punts in defence won't be playing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭Shanotheslayer

    My current team is:

    Steer
    Aurier TAA Justin
    Zaha Traore P.Hernandez Ziyech
    Son Auba Salah

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,908 ✭✭✭claw

    1st of many drafts:

    Ramsdale
    TAA Van Dijk Vinagre Doherty
    Gordon Antonio Ziyech
    Salah Son Auba

Gordon is an enabler at the moment for other players. Not gone on Wolves double defence with their opening fixtures so that is likely to change.

First Overhaul (wildcard) will be after gw4. So you're really just setting your team up for the first 4 weeks.

Why very little Liverpool coverage? My plan is to somehow negotiate the first 4 weeks with very few transfers. Playing this for years and always manage to have hardly any transfers the last few weeks. Would like a few more at the end this season.

They play Chelsea and Arsenal in the first 4 - not sure they're worth the big investment outlay for those first 4 fixtures.

Don’t forget to join boards league folks.

    Code: 8476086

After winning big last season I will have a prize for the winner of the boards league this season.

First prize will be a football shirt of your choice all paid for by me.

The priciest football shirt ever sold is the No. 10 shirt worn by Brazil legend Pele during the 1970 World Cup final, which was bought at Christie's, London on March 27, 2002 for £157,750

We'll have to settle for Zicos I think.

Fair play to ya. Though might need to be wary of people signing up who are not on Boards.

You get to enter 2 teams as opposed to 1 in FPL. Then a 3rd around the half way mark so you can enter second half of the season leagues(including money ones) or just try for the monthly prizes.

Ah yeah I know but might be an idea for boards members to post their team names here so we know who's who. Have many joined the league yet? And it's definitely both teams you can enter? I haven't entered yet but will do shortly

How does the captaincy work? Is it a case if you captain somebody on a Friday and then you have somebody playing on the Saturday. You can get double points for both those captains?

Yea, the main thing in this game is to try have at least 1 player playing every match day.

Pretty cool to be in a league with the reigning champ! Just told the wife you won 50k, now FPL is no longer a waste of time to her!

That’s why I concentrated on the sky game as it more enjoyable and you have a realistic chance of winning big money. fpl has really poor prizes when you think it has 6 million players.
