Ya true but I wouldn't like to live my life under a microscope. Social media is toxic, its easy to say ignore it but after the 1000th threat to you and your family because you lost a game it starts to wear thin.

I doubt your average Brighton midfielder on his 50k a week is threatened 1000 times after a loss. I'd say there's plenty of footballers on good money who could stroll around all day and not be recognised. I agree social media can be toxic, but having a social media presence is not compulsory.

Interestingly I'd say there's a chance that the Brighton forwards in particular get more heat than most online. It's nearly solely from football fans in Iran too who kick off every single week when your man Jahanbakhsh isnt picked again.

If you dont believe me go to Brightons instagram. Its actually remarkable the amount of comments from Iranian fans on all of their posts.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has signed a contract extension with Arsenal and Jack Grealish has signed a new five year contract with Aston Villa.

Bold move cotton, let's see how it works out for him.

Have to say Aubameyang is one of my favourite non-Liverpool players. There were stories about him being a troublemaker when looking to leave Germany and he's been anything but as far as I can see.
I'm outraged FF have him as a midfielder but that's a different issue.

Did you see his goal at the weekend? Carbon copy of the one from the community shield, even back to the way they played out from the back

one of the most impressive traits of the top goalscorers is when it's obvious what they're going to do but you still can't stop them doing it. The way he cut in and buried it is the same thing you see from players like Henry, Salah, Robben

Will be interesting to see if he maintains the form now that he got the big contract or if he goes all Ozil.

Actually surprised he signed tbh. I thought at 31 and coming to the end of his contract it had Juventus written all over it. Surely there were other clubs looking for him or is he just content to be the main man for a club at that level?

It seemed like every single game he'd cut in from the right and bury it with his left to the keepers right. That's how good he was - The defender would 100% know what he was going to do but couldn't do anything about it.

The new Wolves kit certainly reminds me of a certain country's kit. Not hiding it at all, are they?!

With all the talk of new kits being horrible looking, this one is actually a really nice Portuguese replica kit

I do like it too, but I do think the size of the sponsor logo takes away from it a bit. A lot of kits are ruined by sponsor logos these days IMO.

Don't think United have been that bad

Fernándes is a great signing, AWB is a good player, Fred is a good player, overpaid for maguire but he isn't as bad as the 6 second clips on twitter make him out to be. Lindelof & James are decent.

Just think that because the flops have been high profile (Lukaku, Sanchez) it's exagerrated.

There has defo been some proper stinkers by other clubs, look at Newcastle sure (other than this window they're made some awful signings and decisions to sell some of their only good ones so quickly ie. Merino)

Sheffield United should surely be at or near the top of any analysis of spending and achievements in the last 2 seasons. Probably hard to compare with Liverpool as coming from different levels with different expectations, but surely have done more on less money than Wolves.

Lukaku wasn't a flop. He would have guaranteed goals every season for United but Ole wanted Rashford to be the main man up front and you can hardly blame Lukaku for wanting out when he hears something like that.

    50M for AWB is robbery

With no research Citys last few years don't seem great for the money spent

Hey gang, quick plug (somewhat related to the POTY polls I ran on the thread during the season).

I'm running a game in the Forum Games forum around picking your best ever 11. Entries are open until tonight if anyone is interested in playing.

He's arguably the 2nd best RB in the league. Not everyone can get the best one for free.

I must say I like the look of that Everton side, particularly the midfield.

They could use a new striker though I think, not sure Calvert Lewin is up to it.

Awful miss from CL there from 3 yards out

the player cannot cross, and barely pass the ball.

he's good at jockeying players in possession, thats it

A great tackler with 7 bookings last year.
I have nothing against him just think they overpaid

He's the same level as Bellarin. He's a good full back for a europa league team.

Id have Trent, Trippier, Walker, James ahead of him for England

Great strike from Diangana. Everton need a better keeper
