Getting a 70 million plus signing playing like a 70 million plus signing is an achievement in itself. I can think of one or two sets of fans who wish their managers could do it.

How much did keita cost actually? Is he still part the pool squad?

When you look at Liverpool's defence without their mega signings (VVD + Alisson) they're pretty ordinary. Klopp hasn't done much to improve the defence only throw a lot of money at the problem.

    Weird comment

The money he threw at it was breaking world records twice for players in their relative positions. Not saying he's a chequebook manager or anything, but Gomez is sub par, and hasn't progressed as much as some expected him to. There was some in here claiming he was the second best CB in the league. Fabinho is showing he isn't even the second best CB at Liverpool

I have no idea what point you’re trying to make - he paid big money for 2 players to improve the defence and then won the CL and PL with them. Anyone is a drop on VVD, but Gomez is a bloody good player. Matip is also out injured- another bloody good player.

Imagine that. A CM is not even the second best CB at Liverpool. Who'd have thought it.

United spent more on Maguire and Chelsea spent more on Kepa so who got the better deal?

50m. He tested positive for Covid on international duty and then tested negative and returned to the UK. I haven't seen him in any training photos since he returned so maybe he actually was positive for Covid and is self isolating. The club haven't said he's injured.

If you bothered to look at two sentences and realize their connected you'd see Fabinho is proving Gomez isn't even the second best CB in Liverpool.

It's not that hard to understand.

You posted nonsense as usual. It's not surprising in fairness.

I only turned on when there was a still image of the tackle and it showed his foot on the line.

I thought the VAR call was to check if it was a free/pen not if it was a foul? Which probably explains why they gave pen despite it being possible no foul

Confirmed VAR only checked the line

Thought he was closer to 60, must be thinking of someone else, when the other fella was referencing big money flops he popped into my head for whatever reason. Is it my imagination of is he always injured? Looked a talented talented lad before joining.

Can Bundesliga followers tell me what kind of player Havertz was in Germany? Who could he be compared to and what position did he dominantly play?

    Because he's struggling so far.

Very similar style to Dele Alli. Looked his best playing just behind the front man.

The 50 was agreed during the summer I think. Then when we went through a rough patch that January Liverpool apparently went back in with an extra 10m to get the signing moved up. That didn't go through though.

Or you don't have the comprehension to keep up with a basic point being made. ;)

Trent and Robertson are ordinary fullbacks now?

You don't need to spend mega bucks to get good players always.

Our forward line is pretty ordinary if you take the best two forwards (Mane and Salah) out of it. Shame, that.

Firmino been awful again. Sitter aside.

Brewster hasn't had a kick all night.

Anyone put their house on Brewster scoring?

VAR should have really seen it was not a foul and because if it was on the line was 50/50 and that's all they could decide on they should have said it was outside. No common sense being used.
