I took a screen-shot my place in the middle of may. Checked it today and only 2 locations out of 8 have changed and that was only by 1 place. It'll be slow!

3 different departments moved spaces by 1 or 2 places but that was before the "go live" date. So I think they were internal moves in their departments.

Cracking up with waiting for movement!!

Same here. One department has changed in both my zones by one place

Two weeks now since HEO/AO went live and I haven't heard of a move yet.

EO's mobility tipping away at a slow pace nationwide.

There is a pile of recruitment with retirements etc. You'd expect this time to be the fastest moving for mobility and it appears to be very slow if not slower than usual.

Is there a way to check you place on a list for mobility if you don't use people point?

I have my suspicions that they were waiting for the latest regional results to issue in the HEO comp before making placements. Think it was an InterD comp..

On the plus side, I read that regional results came out today. So fingers crossed we all get moving!!!!

Never thought of that. Good point. Hopefully it'll move soon.

Or people cancelled their applications or they were promoted.

Or waiting for dates to be verified.

Yep, looks like they'll run it in conjunction with the roll out of the latest HEO panel. There's a document on the mobility page which mentions something.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,725 ✭✭✭CZ 453

Is this HEO panel (that it might be running in conjunction with) offering places to folks now? I can only see an InterD HEO comp that seems to be in mid stages of recruitment/selection process.

Unlikely you can access the info yourself, but HR will give you your current placing.

Has anyone received any update on this? It appears no movement has taken place yet.

HEO I know moving from DSP to Dept Housing, off this mobility list. Has start date confirmed. Dublin post from AMD to Custom House.

I’ve moved up 2 positions for one department in one of my locations.

Am I right in saying if you have say 5 departments down you have to take the first one your offered? If you turn it down you go to the back of the q?

Is the two year rule in your current role, location, grade etc strictly enforced? I’m 18 months in and have seen some interesting roles come up at AP level

Link below to the mobility page. Has all the terms and conditions (must read it again myself). Fingers crossed for some kind of movement soon.

If you turn it down within the required time you hold your place for the other departments. If you express an interest but ultimately withdraw then you go to the back of the queue for all departments within the zone

One of my choices in Cork has moved one spot today so it looks like the wheels are finally turning!

Yes, unfortunately. I was kept on in my home department for 3 months for business needs before I moved location and I am not eligible until I'm 2 years in location.

I have already contacted HR and Unions and no one is budging...approx 9 weeks to go.

That said, make sure you apply now. You can apply straight away, you just won't be eligible for the 2 years.

Has anyone seen any movement in the Dublin area for EOs this month at all at all?

Update in section 1 re stage2b mobility for specialist areas

  • Registered Users Posts: 933 ✭✭✭tgdaly

Mobility seems to be moving a bit lately? My application for a rural location jumped 6 spots over last 2 weeks. Still in high 40s but at least it's going up! EO grade

  • Registered Users Posts: 139 ✭✭Bobby2004

Hi relatively new to the service. Will only have my 1st year up shortly. Applied for mobility 7 months ago. I'm at an EO grade. It's jumped 24 spots in that time. Still in the early 60s. Is it unusual to go that quick. Goin by that pace should nearly reach me in 18 months.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13 Shinball123

Thanks for the updates, that's significant movement, especially for rural - I'm in 20's for a couple of Depts in Dublin, so could it be safe to say there's a good chance of something happening inside 6 months.. fingers crossed!
