So, they are looking to push it back by 3 weeks? Interesting! I guess in terms of vaccination rollout, it gives that additional breathing room...on the other hand, could be getting fairly baltic to be camping out that late in the year!!

Would be no difference really, Bestival used to be the week after and Fuinneamh the week after, yeah a bit cold at night but still doable.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Oh my giddy aunt. We're back in business. I think the throngs of unhappy locals waiting with pitchforks may have been overdone. The guy who sold me the 99s on main street Stradbally last week was all in favour of the EP circus rolling back into town. Also, I just saw a bloke on Twitter who lives in Stradbally saying it's alright by him. So that should scotch those rumours. I'd love to know where the power lies on the licensing committee. Surely something from the organisers imminent.

Seems I destined not to go this year, those dates are brutal for me.
And it would be bloody freezing.

Delightful news for all of you but still it's early days in terms of planning for it

One thing I'm assuming is no way will Arena sized gigs be permitted by then. They could have EP be the real start of it all again

Lace up your beer coat, stick your thermals on and it'll be grand.

I'd happily do the weekend in a pair of speedos if it meant it was going ahead.

Thanks for this, it's been pulled from the Laois coco website.
Is this exactly what the original link contained?

Would 3 weeks make a huge difference?

Wonder how ready Pink Moon are for new dates?? We have three tents in there but nothing from them at all. Also a concern given they are a UK outfit with the Brexit mess not to mention the potential mess the delta variant may have.

Still - a glimmer of hope is nice to see.

No, the original link was the full planning application. I only skimmed it, said I'd come back to it but it was gone in a flash.

So they said 70,000 tickets....were there not 80,000 tickets sold originally for 2020? If that's the case maybe they're banking on people looking for refunds so they can stage it? Or maybe I'm wrong and it was always gonna be 70,000.

    (Braces onself for a kicking)..

They could be saying this in the knowledge it may never happen, to be then in a position to say "folks, we tried our best" and garner kudos from us all for trying...

It does look a bit like that. If they were confident enough that a 3 week delay will mean it goes ahead, then they'd release a line up (which they may do over the next few weeks).

It's them covering the holes for insurance purposes (imo), and genuinely doing whatever they can to make it happen.

Imagine it went ahead ! my liver just groaned..

David Guetta playing Isle of White 17th Sept,
I think we would all agree would fit nicely in the Saturday night dance slot.
