    ABBA vs Rush

Frankie Goes to Hollywood vs Paul Young

    Toto vs Romeo Void

Joy division vs Bob Marley [bit of a stretch calling JD an 80s band, Curtis killed himself in 1980]

ABBA ; I think I must've forgot to nominate them, or else they just missed the cut for me, but some absolute bangers in the mix, and the music ain't bad either... ;):D

Frankie Goes To Hollyowood ; some iconic songs

Toto ; They have some really good songs (just in case there are people out there who think Africa is their only song, because I've been told there are people who believe Toto are a One Hit Wonder...)

Joy Division ; not mad about Marley to be honest, and Joy Division did win best song of the '80s with Love Will Tear Us Apart, even if I think there are many other better '80s songs personally...

Oh it's much worse than that, the lunatics somehow deemed Love Will Tear Us Apart the best 80s song a while back

Abba - both 70s acts really, but I've no interest in Rush
Frankie - proper 80s legends, burned bright but briefly
Toto, never heard of the other band
Joy Division - again, 2 acts I associate with the 70s, probably incorrectly in the case of JD.

ABBA vs Rush (not a fan of Rush, so that swings that vote)
Frankie Goes to Hollywood vs Paul Young (no idea why, I can only barely tolerate about one song!)
Toto vs Romeo Void (Could anyone name more than about 3 songs though? :pac:)
Joy division vs Bob Marley (Although, I'm not sure how he could be nominated as one of the greatest acts of the decade seeing as he died one year into the decade....)

It'd be near the top of my own list

ABBA - great band. Never got into Rush

Frankie Goes to Hollywood - I like Paul Young but there's a few Paul Youngs

Toto - always liked Africa and Rosanna. Never heard of Romeo Void but they do look cool in that picture.

Joy Division - I love their style of music. I like Bob Marley and a bit of reggae but it's like Aslan where they're cult following kind of ruins it for you because of overexposure.

Fair play! But I suspect even you will admit that you are in a tiny minority on that one.....

Hang on, did you just compare Aslan to Bob Marley??? OI!! PLAYONPLAYETTE!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Maybe. I'd say quite a lot of people are familiar enough with Rosanna and Hold The Line, as well as Africa though. They'd be the big three. Stranger In Town and Hold The Line are probably their best songs.

Ye, they're music's not similar but I've found their hardcore fans are equally annoying.

Bob Marley has too much merchandise associated with him and at one stage Aslan were playing everywhere in Ireland. I like them both though.

Indeed they would. Hence why I said about people being able to name more than 3..... ;)
