Would love it but with young kids n all it'd be yet another bike sitting and degrading from lack of use. Now if a minty red falco came on the market I'd be prepared to sell something;)

Was out on the etv for an ad hoc spin to the shops via the vee lately and after riding the Dr's mostly its a powerhouse with 100 horse lol! Christ knows what the bb will feel like once the works are complete.

Not mint but I'm sure you could revitalise it somewhat.

Whhhhhhy did ya do that lol... :(
No offence to the seller in question but shifting it on in shortish order at that money screams sprag clutch or some other joys have reared their head. Then again it could be grand for a grand lol.
Ever ride one? They're kinda 20% more comfy than a mille with similar go too. Mine made 114 and 70 with the sl cans and chip. Beautiful bike.

Yeah, was thinking of picking up one several times and thought better of it.
I'd start putting öhlins and everything on it and probably would have spent the price of an SP by the time I'm done.
You'll know what way the sprag is in two seconds if you check.
Cheap bike if all it needs is a tidy and a few upgrades.

My bat sense says danger danger Mr Robinson with it if I were tbh. As good a bike they are a string of owners who don't know the issues means bad bodges or neglect. Seen a black one on dd too.
They red ones with a mille swinger and ohlins/oz look devine. Give a right but of wedge for one.

I've a feeling the black one is one I see regularly over the road from me but not belong to a local.
I see a Fazer there in its place with the last week or two.

Worth posting for the sheer audacity - funny how Irish sellers are copying the prices that UK dealers have on used stuff but forgetting that they aren't offering crazy finance deals where they list all the bikes in monthly payments

    https://www.donedeal.ie/motorbikes-for-sale/ducati-899-panigale-2014/25582506

I know the original owner - paid 17k from new and sold it 4 years ago for under 11

Thats not the shops fault - thats down to banks/finance houses.

The market here is miniscule: the only reason BeeEmm offer it here is because BMW have their own bank.

As for that Ducati your friend got a new Ducati for only €1500 a year. Thats cheap - you wouldn't buy a moped for that.

It is 100% that shops fault for the asking price. It's a crazy price relative to almost any example you'll find, even in the UK where dealers can charge premiums because of the finance they offer. People don't look at the price there - they look at the monthly payments.
He also bought it for 17 and sold it for under 11 so not sure what the last bit is about?

I'd completely do PCP on a bike at UK rates.

Even if the market is tiny (which I accept) why not offer it? There would be takers?

Some of the deals are crazy - 0% finance is common enough. I was looking at 690smcr KTM's - down to 8299 sterling (12950 here) and yours for 70 quid a month with a 1700 quid deposit

Oh God. It's not even what I'm looking for and I'd be waiting for them outside with the cash

Ah sweet. They're a weird yoke ergos wise, you kinda lay on top of them with yer knees almost touching as the tanks so skinny. Very plugged in for hustlin but creak in the neck buzz.
Would love another with a set of vario bars but would have to be red:o

Sorry, my bad - read it wrong: thought he had owned it for 4 years.

So yes, 3k a year. Still not bad for what is though. Try going for that level of performance / quality in the car world and it'd be multiples of that - btdt, have the receipts. Which is why I bought a new bike and fixed the old car, rather than change the car, last time. Bike is far better value imho.

Back o/t, the shops don't set the RRP though afaik, that comes from the importers............and we're back to that again..............

Thoughts on this? Price seems high enough for a year 2000 Rebel. First bike for me, I’m looking for 125cc cruiser.

Way over priced for that it is. They were about €3200 new.

The problem as you'll find, is finding any 125's that aren't crusty or falling apart, so for that reason the age is irrelevant. Condition is, literally, everything. If you found a bike for half that price, it'd probably need an exhaust, tyres and a service...........and you'd be back up.

Better if you can, to start with the best one you can.

That seems tidy, and a quick tidy up of the rear brake arm wouldn't take much.

And, being a Twin, it'll be that bit nicer to ride than a single imho.

Yea that’s the stuff I’ve been looking at in the ad. First thing caught my eye was looking at the rear brake arm too but in fairness the seller isn’t hiding it by including it in the pictures, is that just a rust clean up job or replacing the arm? Yea I’m impressed by how it looks in regards to condition and the color is nice too, it’s a definitely noticeable bike on the road. I like the proposed work done to it. I definitely wouldn’t pay the asking price.
