nWo black & white - For Life VS Stone Cold - Original
Preferred the nWo theme, although I preferred Austin's overall character/entrance/etc. more (although when nWo got to WWE and they ramped up the production quality of the entrance, with the black and white and static burnout intros etc the nWo theme and entrance got a whole lot more atmospheric).

Triple H - King of Kings VS Evolution- Line in The Sand
I am not a massive fan of King of Kings. It just never really gelled with me the same way The Game did. Would have to say Line in The Sand is a better theme.

nWo Wolfpac VS Shawn Michaels - Sexy Boy
Wolfpac again here as it was a great theme and arguably the best WCW produced. Gave the real 'group of 'gangstas' hanging out, causing trouble' kinda vibe that they were trying to portray. Sexy Boy is good, but just doesn't stand up aswell to the Wolfpac theme.

Kurt Angle: Medal VS Bret Hart
Angle's entrance theme seems geared more specifically to him, and he really embraced it with the 'you suck' aspect. Hart's theme was catchy, but anyone could wander down the ramp to it. Both good tracks, but Angle's is far and away a better theme.

nWo black & white - For Life VS Stone Cold - Original
Big fan of both here. The NWO theme was very similar to DX in that it symbolised a generational group, but you can't beat the smashing glass as an iconic crowd pop.

Triple H - King of Kings VS Evolution- Line in The Sand
I prefer the Game as a HHH entry theme, but King of Kings is a great song. Often listen to it before a race to get all psyched up, spit some water in the air etc.

nWo Wolfpac VS Shawn Michaels - Sexy Boy
I'm going Sexy Boy here, just memories of being a HBK fan when I was 10.

Kurt Angle: Medal VS Bret Hart
Angles is less generic, and also was a banger when it became "You Suck"

Really enjoyed reading those reasons above. Makes these things worthwhile tbh.

NWO black & white - For Life VS Stone Cold - Original

Such a tough one to call. I think the glass shattering is one of THE sound in wrestling, along with the likes of WHAT A RUSH!!!! However, the sinister yet cool vibes of the NWO music was on another plane as far as I’m concerned. It represented a group of cocky animals so well. NWO gets my vote.

Triple H - King of Kings VS Evolution- Line in The Sand

I’m gonna say it. I liked Evolution but I think their song is vastly overrated. HHH for me.

Nwo Wolfpac VS Shawn Michaels - Sexy Boy

Kinda tough but I think maybe just maybe the intro of sexy boy pips it for me. Hands off the merchandise!

Kurt Angle: Medal VS Bret Hart

Bret Hart for me. The screech is iconic. It’s a really really good theme. Also, Angle’s was used before for the bloody Patriot of all people. Give over.

  • Stone Cold - NWO's entrance was only cool because of the black and whiteness. Average tune that was amplified because of this.

Triple H - Not overly keen on either but really never got the love for Evolution's theme. It's the least worst.

Shawn Michaels - It was the perfect tune for him. It had the perfect beginning with that scream thing at the start, then the music and lyrics - majestic.

Kurt Angle - This was the toughest but I'll go with Kurt as it was just that more memorable. The start of Bret's is iconic but I actually had to listen to the rest of the song after that riff at the start as a reminder, whereas the whole of Angle's song is embedded in my head.

    nWo here
Triple H - King of Kings VS Evolution- Line in The Sand
Triple H even tho I prefered my time

Nwo Wolfpac VS Shawn Michaels - Sexy Boy
    Wolfpac is a better song
Kurt Angle: Medal VS Bret H
    The hitman here

NWO black & white - For Life, For me other than the glass shattering Austins theme is only alright
Evolution- Line in The Sand, I didn't want a Motorhead vs Motorhead but Line in the same is a better song
    HBK
Has to be The Hitman Hart over Angle

NWO black & white - For Life 6 2 Stone Cold - Original
Triple H - King of Kings 5 4 Evolution- Line in The Sand
Nwo Wolfpac 2 6 Shawn Michaels - Sexy Boy
Kurt Angle: Medal 6 3 Bret Hart

Austin gets taken down by the Black and White, however Michaels superkicks the Red and Black out of the contest.

Kurt Angle takes down the Hitman too, though gets told that he sucks throughout :P

Quite the battle in the Motorhead-off however.

    The Brood/Gangrel
Really fitted them along with rising up through the flames

John Cena - Basic Thuganomics VS D - Generaton X - original theme
Much prefer the Cena theme. Not entirely sure why it is, but the DX theme, grand as it was, never really stood out to me as a great theme. It just doesn't have the same lasting impact that many others had.

Finn Balor - Catch Your Breath VS Monday Night RAW - Burn It To The Ground
I can't argue against RAW here. Balor's theme is great, but the RAW theme was just a world apart and for me carries many more memories (nostalgia again!).

The Brood/Gangrel VS Harlem Heat theme song
Brood again here. Loved the theme, entrance, etc. Harlem Heat's track is a cracking theme, though. It doesn't affect my opinion, but I wonder how many people would give it more votes if it were labelled as just Booker's theme.. hmm..

Shane O Mac - Here Comes The Money VS Kevin Owens - Fight
Two themes that aren't even in the same realm, they're that far apart. McMahon's high energy, highly personalised theme with a sudden kickstart intro.. VS what is effectively 'generic rock tune #4' for Owens.

Love the intro to Cena’s “so you think you’re untouchable” but that’s the peak. DX has a great building crescendo and captures their spirit well. DX for me.

Finn Balor - Catch Your Breath. It just oozes cool. Works as heel or face or tweener. I like the extended heartbeat version when the Demon is out too.

The Brood/Gangrel. One of the all time great entrances in my book.

I’m torn on the last one, maybe Owens but not by much. It’s bad-ass, it’s no bs and it’s hard hitting. Yeah KO.

    Easy choice here.

Chris Jericho - Break The Walls Down VS Eric Bischoff - I'm Back
Aaaaaaaaaah nooooooo. I love both of these but Y2J is my favourite wrestler EVAR

Allister Black - Root of All Evil VS Legion of Doom

Stone Cold - Disturbed (Glass Shatters) VS Billy Gunn - Ass Man
Is this some kind of joke?

  • Registered Users Posts: 54 ✭✭DarHan84

Shane O Mac gets my vote in the last round.

Troll level 100 when he first debuted that song!

Edge - Metalingus VS Dusty Rhodes - Common Man Boogie

I Love the Edge song, and there's not as many songs these days where it pops and the wrestler is immediately apparent - the first second used to give away most wrestlers but things are getting more generic HOWEVER Dusty's song is such a throwback to old style theme's so it needs to stay in.

Chris Jericho - Break The Walls Down VS Eric Bischoff - I'm Back

The Wildcard remains, but you need the Y2J clock. His Y2J entry and build up (think it was about 8 weeks of teasers pre- smart phones was incredible. The Rock and Jericho killed that scene.

Allister Black - Root of All Evil VS Legion of Doom

    OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH WHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTT AAAAAAAAAAA RRRRRRUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHH

Stone Cold - Disturbed (Glass Shatters) VS Billy Gunn - Ass Man

As a teenager who was clearly far too emotionally invested, the glass shatter could make you jump off your seat if he was doing a run-in etc - so it's a contender for the #1 for me!
