Hey all! Just recently started playing Animal Crossing:NH (I’m still mostly wandering around collecting apples & making snowmen) and really enjoying it so far. I’ve added my details to the Google doc in the OP & would be extremely grateful for any help or guidance, or anything that would be useful for me to know as a beginner. Is there anything in particular I should be working towards at the start of the game? This is my first experience with any of the AC games so even basic stuff would be helpful! Thanks!!

Great thing about the game is you can play however way you like, focus on your house or doing up your island or a little of both.
My tip is to focus on earning bells. If you fish or catch bugs, theres visitors called Flick and CJ who visit your island every fortnight and pay more than the Nook twins so hoard them till they visit.
You make more money selling foreign fruit in the shop on your island. You can get the other fruit from us here and plant trees yourself.
Then save up these bells and invest heavy in the turnips when you buy ask here for turnip prices, check reddit and turnip exchange, pretty easy to get a good profit then! 0 -

Wondering if this has happened to others, that around the start of the month one resident doesn't get their letter and gift from mom? It's happened my husband maybe 2 months and me this month. He time travelled back and forth and his letter arrived. I could do that but we had a few events the last couple of days and it would be annoying. Did anyone ever get the letter a bit later than the first of the month?0 -

Last month I got it about the 16th or so but I honestly don’t know if I get one every month

Finally got around to adding some people, anyone who has posted on this page & was on the Google doc got sent an invite. I meant to get around to it yesterday but I got caught making some new threads & was recreating Newcastle United retro 90’s football shirts until waaay too late last night! I’ve received a few requests since I entered my details into the doc, what a great resource to have!

As today is the last day of the Christmas holidays for me (:() I wanted to share some pictures of my island before I take down all the decorations, thanks to everyone who has sent me stuff recently I put a lot of work into this and I'm fairly proud with how it turned out!

Christmas dinner table, I imagined if each villager brought their own chair and it was a mix
My forest lights walk (used Wild Lights at Dublin Zoo as inspiration)
My Tiki Bar turned into an Ice Bar for the winter
