I date people I'm attracted to. The fact that they are one race or another is irrelevant.

Same here, though I do seem to have settled for the last while with someone of Kazakh heritage. Looks wise, I always thought Somali/Ethiopian/Eritrean people were very attractive.

I’ve dated Irish, Danish and a Brazilian girl. I choose to date them because of an attraction, passport and country of origin wasn't a focus or any kind of issue.

My partner is English and a redhead, that's all the difference I can handle.

There is something about English women alright.. .. .. Liz Hurley, Michelle Keegan, Kate Beckinsale, Emilia Clarke, Emily Blunt, Natalie Dormer, Naomie Harris

As for the men.. .. not my alley :D That being said, Henry Cavill is one good looking devil!

Would you date someone of another race? I kind of get the feeling that Ireland is less race obsessed than places like the US or even some parts of Southern Europe.
    Sure.

He has to be a ride though ...and a gentleman.:) Race isn't important.

Would a black person who grew up in Ireland really be considered a different race?
    Nowadays, 'race' means nothing.
Culture & societal backgrounds are far more important.
My ex boyfriend was Finnish, they are very different to Irish although we look similar.

Just be sure they’ve a good head on those shoulders. And always, always think of the children

Race wouldn't bother me but culture would.

Obviously you'd have the initial attraction at the start of the hook up, but long term I'd be wary of cultural clashes.

Obviously more so as I'm female. If we got married would his expectations suddenly change, if we'd kids how they were reared, would religion suddenly become important.

Some of those points is why my marriage ended. But I wasn't the one who changed. She did once we moved here. She decided she wanted a fellow Irish man, heh.

But I got an amazing daughter from it and we are on good terms, so can't complain.

I think you are getting race and nationality mixed up.

But that's the point, what difference does race mean anymore?
Culture, nationality etc are far more important.

Peope are attracted to their own race. You don't see too many interracial couples in the real world.

That depends on where you live
    Maybe not in Ireland.... Yet

All of the couples i know ..most of them are interracial.

I've been in an interracial couple myself.

    Love is love.

I think it has more to do with backgrounds and ideals, than race. My background would clash with a lot of European ones. The ones who do take an interest in me is really just a novelty to them.

And in my younger days I dated Irish,English, and Italian women. But it ended up the same way. The ones I dated and the one I married, all of a sudden wanted me to be more like them, instead of accepting that I was a different race and background. It's a slippery slope.

It's the same all over. People go for their own race. Only real exception is white guys and east asian girls.

You clearly haven't spent too much time in any other country

I spent a couple of months working in London recently and all manner of combinations are really common.

Actually you're right about the racial thing. Asian girls worship us white men like gods ;)

Eh, where? Like, in a certain county/city, or in a certain pub/club? How much to get in?

In my house. But seriously, white fever is very real.

It’s very good of you to take the time to fill the lads here in on it of a Saturday night, considering you’re presumably drowning in Asian pussy.

I think you’re giving Harmonics a lot of credit if you think he’ll get a Nietzsche reference.

I would think as subsequent generations grow up here from all nationalities it will become more common.

I think it is less common now as a good % of black women here are born in Africa and came here with their families and their social circle is primarily other families from Africa, often met through their church groups, which they use to socialise. Culturally they have little in common with Irish lads this is particularly true for lads in their 20s and upwards.

What we do have coming up now is 2nd and 3rd generation children of African migrants who have grown up in Ireland and its all they know. Culturally they will be alot more compatible with Irish lads as they will of gone to school with them etc.

It will change naturally with the times once an effort is made on integration. Unfortunately there are a few areas in the country where we have left the proportion of migrants reach a high % in the locality and integration tends to suffer as they will stick to their own, this brings its own problems with it. An example would be the turkish in germany , you have 3rd generation children of turkish migrants some of whom cant speak German.

My wife is Irish like I am but if I was single I wouldn’t mind going out with someone from another race, I personally don’t have a racist bone in my body.

My daughter brought home a Nigerian boyfriend once but I only objected to that because he was fifteen years older than her and he had just left his wife and young family. Otherwise I wouldn’t give a hoot.

Excellent point actually. Not that I actually ever want kids, but no way in hell if I did would I have them reared to believe in a giant spaghetti monster in the sky, regardless of the prophet.

Don't go slagging the spaghetti monster in the sky. Life for Him is tough enough with Bolognese hair gel without getting the respect He deserves.

But yeah I get your sentiment.
