Quite sultry here at 23.2°c and a dewpoint of 19.4°c! Decent sunny spells in a very light NE breeze. Plenty of fuel for these clouds to develop.

I love the use of sultry to describe hot humid days. Invokes thoughts of the US Deep South in my mind. In fact it sounds out in a deep male Southern accent when I read it: "A wahm and suultree summer evenin ma'am". I know I'm weird.

Thunder rumbling in Tipp too, near Thurles. Seems to be coming from the west.

Skies are black, not as much thunder now, no lightning seen. Recent light shower

Contemplating an evening at the beach in north Dublin, much chance of it being disrupted by storms?

Some big rain moving into Southern counties. Looks like near Buttervant might spark.

Heavy shower here in Waterford City and 18.7c. Chances of any Thunderstorms locally very slim but you never know.

A little bit too far south for me to see anything, very hot here not with the sun finally making an appearance.

Any chance of that hitting Galway

Too far south for Offaly, and we've missed every event this summer going in terms of storms. Just a bad luck year. We'll make it up with snow in January.

Heavy rain, a few flashes of lightning and claps of thunder here near Tralee. Incredibly dark.
