Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In fairness, so far this is nothing that hasn't been seen before from the French, they need to keep it up for the 2nd half before talk of a new dawn can start.

They could easily go full French and lose by 10.

They did this to Wales first match last year and then turned the gun on themselves. Wales GS hopes should have been dashed from the off.

That was a bit brainless by Itoje.

    A great half for France

Best half of the competition so far by a mile

That was a no 8 defensive masterclass from alldritt. If France score first after the break...

That French number 8 is phenomenal.

England off the pace here, don't look properly primed for this game but I suspect that will change at half time.

England with Vunipola and without are as hot and cold as France the last decade.

England aren't gonna come back in this.

I thought it looked a bit fishy how England being favoured to win it all at practically odds on were only slight favourites today at -4 on the handicap. Wish I would have pulled the trigger on the underdog.

Ireland will have to lift their performance levels massively if we're to compete away to France and England

You often wondered what France would be like if they had a decent defence coach.

    Now you know.

Vunipola makes a huge difference to England.

    Round 5 will be ugly

Without the Vunipola bros, England are a totally different team. They are the cornerstone of that England pack. The English backrow consists of a second row and two no.7s today. They are second best as a result.

    Alldritt, so very nearly Scottish.

France playing some great stuff but mind keeps going back to them leading Wales 16-0 at half time last year...

The likes of Dombrandt sitting at home watching this. Jones’ dislike of Certain form players is baffling.

Brilliant from France, hope they can keep it up. Up the EU🇪🇺

And Tualagi going off after a few minutes means they have no power to impose their game
I think it’s up to the French to keep their composure.

.... Really? Can we not just talk about the fantastic rugby rather then make this about brexit? Jesus christ

Best case scenario we get to that last game away in France with a chance at the title. And probably get trounced.

Wow. This French team were amazing in the 1st half of the match. England were invisible. They were not up for this match at all.

Whatever advice was given to this French side before England arrived on their ground is certainly working for France to date.

Although; I see France are now struggling in their rout against England since they came back for pt 2. This scrum should seal their fate.

Need a big score from France to get the aggregate back up in the battle of Brexit because of Italy. :)

Wow, wasn't expecting to see basically 50 minutes and not a point from England....

    Very poor.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,228 ✭✭✭A-Train

England have made a fine art out of hits just as the ball is kicked

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,129 ✭✭✭Granny15

Get the French hooker off. Can’t throw

Committed to the tackle after the ball was kicked. Before that he was just running at him.

Owens has regressed somewhat as a referee. He may have started the move, but don't they have a duty of care to players they're tackling?

He was in the air too and that's the type of nonsense and seemingly innocuous tackle that leads to serious injury

Completely off the ball with the intention of hurting the ten, filth.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,129 ✭✭✭Granny15

Even another 3 for France would seal this game

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,920 ✭✭✭✭stephen_n

He was fully committed at speed, there was no way to pull out of that without doing more damage

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,994 ✭✭✭c.p.w.g.w

French man was the tackler there no...so was he allowed go for the ball?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,644 ✭✭✭✭punisher5112

Not the best game ever to be honest.
