This year has been great (as well as the fact that last year was especially bad). I've already surpassed last years figure and it's only Sept 28th!!

    image.png

Got 4541kwh last year, though to be fair my E/W setup really starts to drop off now in Oct onwards. So I'm guessing in about 4800 for the year.

Very much depends on how those three aspects are connected. You'll only have two strings, so what are the south four linked to ?

eastward six and south four are on one string, all optimised.

Apologies my bad I forgot 30 days has September 😀

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,722 ✭✭✭bullit_dodger

Great improvement over last Sept (which was terrible). Sept started out a fairly good month, but 2nd half of the month was only ok. I just about got PVGIS for a finish. (100.019%)

    image.png

This is 6.5Kwp E/W in South Dublin city.

Shed (2.3Kwp South) added another 172Kwh, so a total of ~583Kwh for the month, sadly the drop off starts in earnest now for winter. Boo!

Poor month here in north Mayo, 499kWh vs 525kWh last year. Only barely better than March (472)

I've no comparison to last year but I'm happy with it, still covered all my electricity bill for the month with some left over. October will be a different story altogether.

12 Panels azimuth 140° in Laois (2nd month)

5Kw Battery charging from grid 02.00 to 04.00 cheap rate (Electric Ireland)

    Eddi Diverter to heat water

    September Monthly Yield from PV
    483.7kWh (August 616.9kWh)

    September Monthly PV to Consumption
    150.64kWh(31%) (August 199.19kWh(32%))

    September Monthly PV to Grid
    333.06kWh(69%) (August 417.71kWh(68%))

    September Monthly Imported from Grid
    96.8kWh (August 82.37kWh)

Most of my import from grid is the battery charging time.

Highest consumption is the electric shower, looking at changing this.

Now that the OFCH is coming on more often I have changed the heater priority on the Eddi to Heater 1 (sink element). Because both the immersion elements have a single thermostat I assume when it switches to Heater 2 (bath element) that it will switch off almost immediately. Hoping this is the case so that I will still be exporting to grid over the winter months thereby generating credit to offset the bill.
